It's a great machine - the best of its kind BUT AND THIS IS A BIG BUT -- if you get it online from NINJA it comes with much more including SLICING BLADES! I can't even buy the slicing blades at BBB! I am so disappointed that I might return it. This is not right.

I love my Ninja blender. It's just so easy to use and clean. I can't count how many smoothies I've made since I received it. I've also tried the blender to make quick ice cream. It doesn't exactly taste like the real thing, but it's a tasty treat. I'm extremely glad that I made this purchase.

This machine takes the place of at least 3-4 other machines. A little on the bulky side and no way to really store everything nicely. I love this machine!

This blender is powerful, numerous easy to use attachments and different pitchers. My wife is getting rid of her food processor as this takes the place of a food processor and blender.

Quick and Easy Smoothies

I researched for a while online to find the best blender...I saw an infomercial last year for this Ninja product and it always stuck in the back of my mind. After my research I decided that this system would be the best for the cost. It was mid-range in price. I like that fact that it can take the place of many products, a mixer, a blender, a smoothie maker etc...So far I've used it for smoothies and for pancake mix. I would say that we have used this multiple times a day every day to make nutritious smoothies. Both myself and my teenager and young son are happy I bought this. It is quick and simple to use and even though the single serve cups are made of plastic I would say it is pretty heavy duty. Not even a scratch so far.

I love this thing! I look forward to using it every day...chopped salad is my favorite, and smoothies are a close second. I think it helps me to maintain a healthy lifestyle, since it makes food prepping a snap. I have always shied away from food processors...too many parts, too hard to clean, user-unfriendly. Not this machine! I love love love it!!!

We'd been wanting this machine for a while but we decided to wait as long as possible, then finally, the one thing I'd been hoping for... our old blender broke. Yay! :) We believed the Ninja would be a great machine, needless to say, it exceeds our expectations! This machine has a very strong motor and does a great job blending. If you get the whole kitchen system, you can make a lot of different things. The only issue I've had so far is... I had a defective lid. I called their company; the gentlemen I spoke with was very professional and helpful. I told him the situation and he said he would send out a new one right away. Great customer service, and on a Friday night too! :) If you can afford the Ninja...get it. And if you use BB&B 20% off coupon... you can save 44.00. Extra awesomeness :)

Ninja 1500 Makes Full Fiber Juice!

The Ninja 1500 mega kitchen system is awesome. I love the single serve cup. I just made a single serve juice(yes, juice) with 1 broccoli floret, 1 brussel sprout, 5 grapes, 4 blackberries, 1/4cup cherry juice, 1/4 cup grapefruit juice, agave, and 4 peeled orange sections(with seeds) and ice. I put a little ice in the cup first, then the fruits and veggies, followed by each juice, and a little ice on top. Blend 1 minute. Add about 2-3 tbs agave. Blend another minute. Voila, full fiber juice! No pulp, no straining. Easy cleanup. All the power of a vitamix at 1/2 the cost and the ease of a magic bullet with much better construction. I am on the way to a new way of nutrition.

Well, I tried a pair of pants on at a clothing store. Looked in the full length mirror and couln't believe the pounds on me!! I will be 50 in a few weeks and my hubbie and I decided we needed to eat healthier and go on diets. I researched quite a few machines that were equipped to make smoothies and veggie drinks, but most either got so so reviews or really poor ones. I found out about this machine through youtube, researched it and went to BB&B with a 20 % off coupon, then off to walmart for some fixins. The whole family made their own smoothie in the single serve cup and it performed well and seemed like a very solid, heavy duty machine. Don't know how long it will last, but gotta say I was quite impressed!!! Look forward to making more veggies and smoothies with it!!! I'm psyched....p.s., the smoothies tasted great!!!

Raw almond butter

Bought this about a week ago. Used it to make raw almond butter, which takes much longer than roasted almond butter, but it was worth it. Took about 45 minutes and I didn't add oil. I've read that almond butter is better than peanut butter healthwise b/c even if you don't have a peanut allergy, it's possible that you have a sensitivity to peanuts so it's best avoiding peanuts (not really nuts) and using raw almonds instead. I've also made breakfast smoothies with pumpkin seeds, cauliflower, spinach, frozen blue berries and carrots. Good way to fill up in the morning and I feel great after drinking it. Looking forward to trying the other parts to this machine. Get it, it's good.

Mostly satisfied -- some pros, some cons

PROS: Definitely powerful and creates great smoothies; comes with lots of attachments that I look forward to trying out. I made grape juice the other day (and used a strainer to remove most of the pulp). Yum!
CONS: PLASTIC carafe, which will scratch depending on what you use to remove the contents with; PLASTIC housing and gear parts (my last blender's plastic spinner broke right off the bottom of the carafe); REALLY NOISY due to so much of the unit being plastic; not much thought put into the parts in terms of having to clean them. There are too many areas that moisture gets into that I cannot reach (handle of main carafe, inside of carafe lid). Lastly, the lid is such a good fit that when I have to yank it to remove it, food from the inside of the lid goes everywhere.
I bought this because I was trying to avoid spending the money on the Vitamix, but after this, I would reconsider trying to the save money.

I really like this product. The power is really good and blends things like a dream. The different accessories are fantastic. The smoothie cups are great and the food processor is nice. One thing that I wish were an option on the food processor is an opening to add liquids and small items. Unfortunately you have to unlock the top to add anything like butter or oil to emulsify things. This is why I only rated it a 4. You can use the blender cup and add small items and liquids in the small pour spout, but this would be more useful in the food processor attachment. Otherwise, it's a great blender!

Ninja Mega Kitchen System 1500 - No Regrets

1st & foremost ..... I have no affiliation with Ninja or it's retailers ... this review is based purely on our use and satisfaction with this product.
System purchased Dec - 2012 through Bed Bath & Beyond (great customer service)
I wanted to give it a good test before writing this review but in the interest of keeping this short, I will only cover Smoothie making.
We are new Vegans and wanted a machine to make smoothies so we did the ever popular Cyber research. I must confess ...... I am a research fanatic.
I looked at all the usual high-end machines available in North America and chose this machine based on:- Power, Versatility, Easy to get the Food out after blending and Super Easy to Clean ....the blades can be taken right out of the Pitcher. None of the other High Speed Machines have this option. This is a very big feature for me ..... no poking around the blades trying to get your food out, just simply lift the whole blade assembly out and you have no obstructions in the way, be careful of the blades though they are very sharp. Wear gloves if you are accident prone!
For Super Smooth Smoothies ----- Here's my method: The 72oz pitcher will produce a reasonable smooth product very quickly but to get an even smoother product, I simply do the initial blending in the 72oz pitcher then pour it into the Single-Serve cup for a zippy blend to total silky smoothieness (the machine comes with 2 of these)...... It takes just a few seconds and since there's just two of us, we simply enjoy our smoothy right out of the Single-Serve container.
Hope this review has been helpful! .... Maybe I will write another to cover the other Numerous Features of this Great and Affordable System.

Hi Mellowyellow, I think you should have it exchanged. I just bought one and it had the 72oz, 64oz and I believe it's a 48oz that has to be used with the 64oz. There were also 3 smaller ones that was unexpected as I thought there would be only 1. i only used it once but loved the peanut punch that was made. Its a keeper for sure. Don't get short changed, make sure you get it exchanged. You have to make sure that you bought the mega kitchen though as there are different varieties. Good luck.

I recently purchased the Ninja Mega Kitchen Systen 1500.. When l got it home, opened it, l found out that the the containers consisted of 1) 72oz, 1) 56oz and 1) 16oz. According to the advertisement, there should have been a 72oz, 64oz and a 16oz.
Because, the food processor was a 56oz, 7cup, l was unable to secure the lid.
l want to keep the ninja! How can l get the right 64oz, 8 cup processor as advertised.

I received the Ninja MEGA kitchen system for Christmas and LOVE, love, l.o.v.e. it!! the smoothies are awesome, the food processor has made amazing salsa, and I find myself looking for recipes to make just so I can use the dynamite machine. This is truly the first blender I have ever owned that actually crushed the ice to slush. This is a great machine and I have no qualms recommending this powerful machine.

It is pretty loud, but I would expect a 2hp,1500 watt blender to be loud, so that was not a bad thing for me.
It works great, and the Ninja app is nice too. A great product in my opinion, and cheaper alternative the Vitamix, which my mom has.

Love this machine! I had the very first Ninja system that came out several years ago and was very happy with it. I started seeing newer systems being produced and contemplated purchasing one of them but glad I waited for this! It is so powerful and yes a little noisy but it is 2 horsepower! My garage door opener is 2 HP just to give you an idea of how powerful the Ninja 1500 is. Before I bought this I was going to buy a NutriBullet but the NutriBullet requires liquid in order to produce a smoothie - the Ninja 1500 DOES NOT. It is a true food emulsifier. I have used it to make ice cream, chicken salad, salsa and dough among other things and it works extremely quickly. It does what it says it can do. The clean up is a breeze. I have no complaints. My husband bought me the Ninja cooking system for X-Mas and I think these two kitchen appliances are all I use now (except for my toaster). Love this appliance!
