I bought it for my 11 year old granddaughter for her birthday. She took it to an away soccer tournament and the kids had a ball dipping strawberries, pretzels, marshmelows in chocolate and then putting nuts and sprinkles on the goodies. BIG HIT and really fun and a different kind of entertainment while staying in a hotel with a bunch of kids. Now all my grandkids want one of their own !

I bought this fountian for my daughter's 9th birthday party. It is easy to assemble but extremely difficult to get it level and to get the chocolate to flow evenly over all the tiers. Would not recommend this product. The amount of time it took to get it to half work was not worth it.

Disaster..

I received this item as a Christmas gift this December. Since I host a joint birthday party every February, I figured that would be the ideal time to whip it out and show it off.

Well, we read the instructions, and you need to warm up the chocolate before you put it in the fountain. We could never get the chocolate the exact consistency it tells you, so we tried to put the melted chocolate in and see how it went.

That is when disaster struck. The chocolate was only in there for a less than a minute before we noticed the plastic part starting to warp and then it started to shake then spin. Eventually, we ended up with chocolate slung everrrrywhere. (I have the pictures to prove it.)

Anyway, be careful with the temperature of the melted chocolate you are putting in the machine. I would even venture to say it would be better for your chocolate to be a little chunky than overly warmed up. Also, I suggest when testing out the machine, not putting it near any walls or anything light colored just in case.

Great with a little TLC

I've had this fountain for about two years and use it about a dozen times each year for family parties. The fountain is easy to set up, flows nicely, and is pretty easy to clean. After using it a few times the auger suddenly wouldn't spin. After unscrewing the bottom to check the motor inside I found that it had seized up. I just loosened it back up by twirling it around a few times. If I didn't have to do that from time to time I'd give it 5 stars.
