Better than expected

I read the other review by Candyman and I immediately disagreed with it. He thought that the pan was great for induction cooking but he awarded it the low 3 star score for something as erroneous as stating that it was designed for left handed people. Absurd!
It's a fact that most sauce pans that have a single spout also have it placed on the left side of the pan to accommodate right handed persons. Yes, I agree, it is a predominately right handed world. That's why the sauce pan pour spout is placed on the left side. Yes, it's true that many people will stir with their right hand while holding the handle with their left when the pan is sitting on the stove top. However, they will most likely switch to their STRONGER RIGHT HAND when they lift the pan making the spout on the correct side after all. Also, I have no problem using my left hand to grasp the spatula or utensil and I'm NOT ambidextrous. I've watched a lot of cooking shows. Point in fact: I've never seen a right-handed professional cook that didn't pour with his/her right hand while holding the spoon with their left.
I bought this pan because I enjoyed using the 5 Quart Chef's pan with lid. I therefore knew that this 2 quart pan would live up to my expectations of quality. And it did. The complaint that Candyman had was that he thought that the design was made for left-handed people which is patently (sic) not true. The pour spout is positioned correctly -- his review was NOT! Please disregard.
The pan sits flat on my induction cook top. It heats fast and evenly with a tight fitting lid and large riveted keep cool handles.
I have a lot of pros and no cons for this quality product. I highly recommend it to smart cooks whether they are right-handed or left.

Good, but not as good as I'd hoped

This saucepan is great for induction cooking. It has steel completely covering the bottom, so it has no "cold" spots. The non-stick properties are phenominal, with no teflon involved and metal utensils o.k. . The problem with this pan is the location of the handle and the pour spout on the side of the pan. If you are right handed, as most people are, you are going to want to stir food with your right hand while you hold onto the pan handle with your left. That puts the pour spout on the backside of the pan. When you pick it up off the burner and try to pour something out using a utensil (such as a spatula) you have to try to use the utensil with your left hand while holding the pan with your right in order to "clean out" the pan. That is very difficult unless you are left handed. This pan was obviously designed for a left handed person. I really thought the straining lid and pour spout were going to be a nice feature, but their kind of a pain, because of the flawed design.
This is a right handed world Cuisinart! Put your left handed designers somewhere else in your company.
