The vacuum has super suction! It is very versatile. We have a combination of tile floors, area rugs and carpet. It switches easily from one surface to another. The canister, lift-off feature is easy to use and light weight. My husband has used the lift-off option to clean out the car and was very pleased with the ease of use. I was hesitant about buying this model because of the cost but it is well worth the price--especially if you have a BB&B coupon!

Ok, so let me first give you a bit of background here. I live on a farm, I have a fiancee who isn't concerened with cleaning, a 6yo boy, 2 large dogs and 4 cats. So, impossible to keep my house clean, right? Well, not with this vacuum! It's so easy to use, it actually seems to self propel across the carpet! It's easy to go to the hardwood and linoleum floors in the dining room and kitchen, no hassles there. And best of all, the suction is great! I always hated vacuuming, but this vacuum makes it so much easier! I have been amazed at the amount of dirt, hair and debris it picks up. Large cup means I don't have to stop and empty it so often, and the filters are really easy to keep clean. Very well worth the money!

Just bought the 3in1 Shark Rotator Pro & brought it home to use. It is all everyone says it is! Goes together easy - didn't even look at the instructions - has great suction, just about pulls itself along, is lightweight, picks up great on carpet or tile & even got the little pieces of thread/lint that my old Kirby wouldn't even touch. Having the cord on the right of the machine really doesn't matter as it has a little hook through which to pass the cord over to the left. Did notice the upright falls over easily when using the wand but making a quick switch to the cannister caddy took care of that. I was concerned there was no height adjustment but it seems to work well whether on my indoor carpet, bare floor, or indoor/outdoor carpet on my patio so is not a problem. I guess the only cons I can find with this vac is that the lights on the front are not real bright but even that was easy to fix - I just turned on the overhead light in the rooms I was working in. I also noticed it doesn't pick up real well next to walls but I suppose that is where the attachments come in. Finally, the dust cup could be bigger but it is very easy to empty & doesn't require getting your hands dirty! .Am very pleased with my purchase - as long as it doesn't lose suction over time, this will have been a great purchase...sure beats paying thru the nose for a Dyson!

Great Vacuum For The $

Yes as you can tell by my nickname I am a man...yes there is actually a husband who vacuums. Although my research wasn't lengthy I have no regrets in making such a hasty purchase. This vacuum out performs the Oreck and Dirt Devil we currently own. Today is day number 1 and I can tell you that I was amazed at the amount of dirt and dog hair this vacuum picked up that the other two left behind.
The vacuum does have some drawbacks but not enough for me to give this vacuum less than 5 stars. The drawbacks are just as others have pointed out, back heavy which makes it somewhat cumbersome to use the hose when not using it with the roller platform, the hose is too short and somewhat stiff but this most likely will change over time with usage, the vacuum is somewhat heavier than the other two I have but again not heavy enough for me to complain but I'm sure due to the weight this will be my wife's excuse to never vacuum again. I will also say the weight is not an issue as the vacuum pulls itself along the carpet better than any other I've used.
I see where others have complained about the attachments but I feel they were incorrect as I cleaned the furniture and fireplace with a couple of them and they performed better than expected.
All in all I feel that my decision to purchase this Shark over another Oreck or even a Dyson was a smart buy especially since I was able to save $50 using the BB&B 20% off coupon.

Great for carpet and stained concrete flooring!

Bought this vacuum after my former vacuum couldn't suction correctly anymore. I was a little timid to get this vacuum at first, but after reading numerous reviews on this website and another well recognized product review site, I took the plunge.
I have had this vacuum for a little over a month now. I love the suction strength it has!! This vacuum also seamlessly transitions from carpet to stained concrete flooring without any adjustments needed (as far as vacuum height). The off/on switch for the brush roll is nice as well. When the brush roll is turned on the vacuum has a little bit of "self propulsion" which makes pushing the vacuum easier.
All parts are easy to take off and put back together. This vacuum is light compared to others I looked at. The canister is easy to empty, as well.
As far as hair/string getting wrapped around the brush roll, it is the same as every other vacuum. Unfortunately there is no way to remove the whole brush roll device to clean it out, so you have to do the awkward scissor cutting maneuvers to get it off. It is nice, however that the bottom portion of the vacuum does come off so you don't have to have the entire vacuum sitting in your lap or on your table to do this task!
The wand is a little short to do large areas for me (I'm 5'8"), but I usually reserve the wand for small spaces or the couch. Suction strength seems unchanged when using the wand.
Also, one thing I found awesome about this vacuum is that the head of the vacuum swivels very smoothly and easily. Reminds me a lot of a ball.
So far, I am really enjoying this vacuum. I am so glad we didn't spend $500+ on a vacuum. Forbid this vacuum go out in less than 5 years like my last one, but, if it does, I don't feel as bad about replacing it since the price tag wasn't too bad (a 20% off coupon made the price even nicer!)

I've never written a review before, but I have been so pleased with my Shark 3-in-1, that I decided to. It has great suction, it's easy to maneuver with the rotating head, and I love that I can easily get under and around furniture with it. So far, it's worked great on my rugs, hardwood, and tile. With a push of a button, you can switch settings for carpet or hardwood. It was also easy to put together, and easy to use in all three variations of vacuum. There are tons of "pros", and my only "con" might be that the dust bin isn't very large. But, honestly, I've filled it up to its max, kept vacumming, and never lost suction. I almost bought a much more expensive vacuum, but so far, I'm very glad I didn't. With one of BB&B's 20% coupons, this is a great deal.

I upgraded from a bag vacuum to this Shark Rotator Pro. The one I bought in-store and it came with the roller cart for when you use the Lift-Away feature and a car cleaning kit that also works great for video game consoles and electronics in the house. The vacuum is extremely powerful and I don't see or feel any of my dog's hair or the dust going back into the air like my previous vacuum. I works awesome on the dog hair on both the furniture and the carpet, I have a 80lb Black Lab/German Sheppard mix that sheds a ton of hair. The attachments are really nice and make cleaning anything and everything very easy. I used a 20% off coupon and paid just over $200 for this and would recommend it to all. I can breathe better, it picked up so much dirt and allergens I can feel it, the air and carpet is clean.

Love My New Sweeper!

I own many Shark products, and have always been very pleased with them all. So when they came out with the new Shark® Rotator Professional Lift-Away 3-in-1 Vacuum, I was very excited. I clean several houses for extra money and have always taken my Shark products with me. But after having and using the new Shark® Rotator Professional Lift-Away 3-in-1 Vacuum for about a month I find that I am not overly happy with the suction, wand release or the crevis tool on this vacuum. I seem to pick up much less then I was able to with my original Shark. And the wand does not always release well and the crevis tool seems much narrower and gets blocked even by a popcorn kernal. I am going to be returning my Shark® Rotator™ Professional Lift-Away 3-in-1 Vacuum and exchanging it for a different Shark vacuum.

Shark better than $3000 Central Vac

So we purchased our home brand new, installed a Central Vacuum, because my husband has allergies, and the salespeople for the Beam really did a great job selling us this product. The Carpet attachment broke some time ago, just out of warranty might I add, and the nearest place to get it fixed, is over 100 miles away. So in the interim, we decided to just get a cheap vacuum cleaner that would do the job, with HEPA filtration to reduce the allergens in the air.
HOWEVER, what we got was much better than what we had.....at a fraction of the cost. Even after the Central Vacuum Carpet attachment was fixed, the Shark, kept pulling more dirt after a thorough vacuuming with our central vac.... scary....so we decided to keep the Shark, and retire the $3000 Central Vac...and for our next house.....we won't make that pricey mistake again.

I read the negative reviews and ordered the Shark Pro inspite of reviews. I now think they are crazy! I love this vacume! I love all the attachments, the options to lift canister, love the 'lift handle' option. It is EASY to use and the amount of cat hair it picked up on my first use was gross! I had to vacume the entire house immediately. I do wish there was an extender to the floor attachment, but it's still acceptable.

Excellent Vacuum - Even for Pesky Pet Fur!

We bought this vacuum with two goals in mind:
1. Get a vacuum that does not clog half way through vacuuming a ~1400 square foot apartment, ~600 square feet of which are usually covered in fur from two heavily shedding pets.
2. Get a vacuum that does not require we break a sweat while vacuuming, comparable to a tough 30 minute cardio work out at the gym.

This vacuum gets perfect scores on both of these requirements. We have two pet rabbits and even though they're small, they are bread for surviving northern European winters and shed every 3 months for ~4 months at a time. Our previous vacuum was a canister vac and inevitably the stick would clog about half way through the apartment on pet fur. It was a 15 minute heinous ordeal to clean it out every time. This vacuum not only picks up everything a vacuum should, but handles the rabbit fur with ease. There are also always a few loose pieces of Timothy hay lodged in the carpet which this vacuum doesn't think twice about eliminating without a hassle on our part.

The brush roll propels the vacuum easily over all of our fairly standard length carpet, and I can honestly say that vacuuming with this Shark is a breeze compared to the vacuums of our past. The maneuverability of the head is also great, and the two attachments we've used so far have worked like charms. We are very happy with the purchase.
