We received this as a gift off of our wedding registry. We wanted a high quality knife set that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. After searching, and reading reviews, this is what we found! We are so glad we did! It comes with everything we need for our kitchen, and looks excellent. The blades are sharp and never rust. We always hand wash them and don't put them in the dishwasher like another user suggested. I love how it has other slits to add additional knives. We also got the Henckles Bread Knife that fits perfectly in this block (in one of the extra slits). I would compare this set to a Cutco knife set. Seriously amazing!

We purchased this set about 5 years ago or more, it was one of the smartest purchases we have ever made! They still look brand new, we wash them, wipe them dry and put them right back in the block everytime! JUST MAKE SURE THEY NEVER GO IN THE DISHWASHER!!! We are now buying my son and his new wife a set for Christmas!

We just received this knife set as an engagement gift, and these knives are fantastic. We love to cook, so we'll be using these every day, and I can tell these knives will be up to the task. My future sister-in-law is a chef and she approves, so that's definitely high praise. I also like that there are extra slots in the knife block for other knives that we may purchase in the future. As other reviewers said, it's worth hand washing these knives instead of running them through the dishwasher.

This is my first decent knife set, and I have to say how great it is to finally have one. This is a great set. I wanted to splurge a little on a good set, but also didn't feel like spending $500+. This is exactly what I wanted. I wanted to be sure to go out of my way to leave a review on this item, since I spent so much time doing online research and reading reviews. This is definitely worth your money. I have to say to be sure to handwash the knives. It's a bit of a pain, but it will keep them from rusting and will last forever (advice I took from my previous research).
