Pfaltzgraff Pfaltzgraff® Pistoulet Blue 20-Piece Dinnerware Set

Pistoulet offers a beautiful collection that is brightly decorated with freely rendered flowers, vines and vegetables drawn from or influenced by the book, The Secrets of Pistoulet by Jana Kolpen. Bright, colorful drawings are set against wide watercolor washes that evoke the light and colors of Southern France. Coordinates with other pieces of the Pistoulet collection (sold separately). Set includes four of each: 10 3/4" dinner plate, 9" salad plate, 28-ounce soup/cereal bowl, 14-ounce mug and 8-ounce dessert bowl. Microwave and dishwasher safe. Imported.

I've had my Pistoulet dishes and many of the accessory pieces for over 7 years, after seeing my sister-in-law's set. Using the dishwasher and the microwave-these dishes are my everyday set, and no chips (even though my husband often loads the dishwasher)-I love my Pistoulet, and so does my sister who says my dishes make her smile.

Chip, crack & overheat easily

We bought this set and within a couple months, several of the dinner and salad plates chipped. When retrieving food from the microwave, the plates and bowls are hotter than the food they contain so use oven mitts. After a year, the dishes started to get cracks that over time will leak a brown substance when you microwave them. Can only guess it is oil that seeps into the plate through the tiny cracks. Wouldn't recommend.
