The rack was difficult to put together. In addition, the rack was unable to support the weight of my boots (they aren't even heavy boots). At first, the boots simply fell off the rack. But when I put them back on the rack, then the entire rack broke. What a waste of time and money. It's extremely disappointing -- I expected a better quality product from Real Simple.

I found this product fairly straightforward to put together, however, it does not hold up well. The metal things that your boots are supposed to rest on are extremely unstable, and several have fallen down after only a couple of weeks. I tried using it for winter boots and rain boots, so perhaps it's just not designed for that kind of wait. I will definitely return it.

So I'm glad I didn't go by the other reviews. I purchased the boot rack and felt it was self explanatory to put together. The long piece that the boots hang on has to be pushed into the grommet & flush with it (it explains that in the instructions). This might be where the others had problems (it gives the stability to hold the boots). I hung the rack on my door and put my boots on and absolutely love this boot holder!! I have very good quality, expensive boots and now I have a rack to hold them properly. Great Product!!!

Not good for men's boots

I had a little trouble putting this together and once it was together, and hung, I found that it really isn't made for men's boots (or large sized women's boots)It's a great idea, but the supports aren't strong enought or long enough for men's boots.
