I originally purchased the speaker for my cell phone so that I could listen to my music while out on the patio without having to blast my stereo. I LOVE IT. I travel for work so its one of the first things in my bag. I've also purchased additional speakers as gifts. Everyone loves this speaker!

The main reason for this purchase, was that my laptop speakers weren't very loud. You just have to plug this in, and it works wonderfully. Also, if you're just in your room and plug in your iPod/Zune/MP3 player, it sounds like it's coming out of a stereo and the colors are really cute.

Bought this for my 2nd generation Shuffle and LOVE it!! It's about 2.5" when open, sounds great for such a tiny speaker. My kids love the colors. It didn't come with the travel pouch as stated on the packaging though..
