I love hot chocolate and hubby picked this up for me since I don't drink coffee and he wanted to share the machine with me. I thought the first time that the caramel he added was the problem, but no! After I made a different one I could barely stomach the taste and dumped the whole cup out. Horrible taste - very chemical and strong aftertaste. hopefully one of the other Kuerig hot coco's will be better.

I've read a few reviews about an awful taste...We have not had a problem with ours. We did notice that if you do not soak the charcoal filter and then rinse it with warm water for 60 seconds you're probably tasting the charcoal.

We LOVE our new machine and are busy tasting all of the flavors.

I received this in my new Vue package and the aftertaste is awful! If they don't make a product with real sugar I won't buy this!! Instant hot chocolate is far superior! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I have to concur with those who rated this product as poor. It is watery, and has an unpleasant flavor that does not approach a hot cocoa taste. The manufacturer should develop a product with better cocoa characteristics, flavor and body. Until changes are made, I will not purchase this product.

Made with 8 oz of water and it was too weak so only makes 6 oz. As far as taste goes, your better off with instant cocoa powder at a much cheaper price.

Worst After Taste

I am going to return this product because the use of sucralose causes a horrible after taste. Very disapointed I really enjoy Hot Chocalate but this left a bad taste in my mouth. At first I thought it was just me since my taste is sensative to artificial sweeteners but I gave it to two people that work for me and they had the same reaction. Get rid of artificial sweeteners Please and make creamier.

This product contains sucralose and if you have an adversion to aspartame then you'll definitely be able to taste the artificial sweetner in the Hot Chocolate. Some of the other Vue cups use Sugar or Stevia derivative which is much more pleasant

This is not to bad for hot chocolate, I have had better but compared to the original Keurig hot chocolates it is a definite improvement. Watch your settings and it does really good at consistently getting all of the chocolate into your cup without leaving any behind.

I will qualify this with saying that I only tried the sample that came with the brewer. I love the Vue-cup coffees but this hot chocolate left much to be desired for me. Maybe I am just spoiled by the CBTL frother with their mocha powder.
