Great pans! But follow directions

A friend introduced me to these pans and I started out with the small skillet. I now have a 9 piece set, plus a griddle and the 10.5 skillet. The Bialetti's are great but you do have to do some things differently with them. They conduct heat so well, that very high heat may effect them. Heat slowly to temp. After cooking, clean by wiping with paper towels and then after the pan cools, use can use a sponge & water. Absolutely use only plastic or silicon utensils and handle the pans carefully when storing - don't stack them on each other without protection - like a paper towel. On low heat, you can let things simmer without worrying about scorching. Watch the risotto demo video. I think they're worth the extra attention.

I have had the 12" skillet for over a month now. I have cooked steak, burgers, grilled cheese, and stir fry. All I have to do when done cooking is rinse with warm soapy water, wipe with a sponge, rinse and hang it for the next use. I have found no chipping as others have but I will admit I do not stack my pan, maybe that's the secret. I love it and will be buying the smaller sizes soon. This pan is head and shoulders above the orgreenic fry pan.

I've been using my Bialetti Aeternum red 11" fry pan for six months now and it is definitely the VERY BEST fry pan I've ever had!!!! The ceramic interior cooks everything to perfection and is super easy to clean just by swishing warm water in it. It is fantastic and is the way all fry pans should be.

I bought the Bialetti Aeternum Red 11" Fry Pan
from BB&B a little over a month ago and returned it yesterday! Right after I bought it, I read the reviews, then went back to BB&B to verify their return policy...glad I did, as after using it for a month with ONLY the correct utensils, not only were the edges chipped, the middle of the pan chipped as well for no appearent reason. In the 45 years I've been cooking I've NEVER (before this) returned a skillet/pan because the product was poor. I wanted to give the new technology a try, but just because something is "green" and "new", it doesn't not make it a good product. Small wonder more REAL chefs/cooks are returning to the real deal...CAST IRON!
I will warn all my friends about this product!

Pan works great!

I have used this pan probably 20-30 times over the past couple of months and have found that it is just as non-stick now as it was the first time I used it. It is very important not to use high heat when cooking with this pan as that could damage the coating, but high heat isn't necessary anyway. The pan conducts heat very well and you can easily fry an egg on the medium-high setting.
My cupboard is crowded so my pans are stacked inside one another and I am pretty rough on them when trying to take one out. Almost right away my rough handling chipped the coating, although it is a tiny chip and has not affected the performance.
All in all this is a wonderful pan and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it does chip fairly easily.
Read my review under the set of this cookware for more information.

As the reviewer above stated, the knicks and marks will show up after using it only a few times. I also used oil and only wooden utensils (as recommended by the manufacturer) but to no avail. I ended up throwing one into the trash this week after one and a half years of use. Food sticks easily and they are very hard to get clean. I would not recommend this brand to anyone.

Coating coming off after 4 uses

I have used this pan 4 times (in less than thirty days) and tonight after making dinner I noticed nicks and holes in the coating.
The pan has only been used for grilled cheese and sauteed vegetables - all uses have utilized olive oil or butter, bamboo spatula and at the most a moderate heat setting.
So, after four uses (and only hand washing) the damage and wear this pan shows is unacceptable.
The pan does brown food beautifully - but simply not wroth purchasing.
Sadly I am unable to find the receipt - so I an mot able to comment on the "5 Year Warranty"
