Review 1 for Orla Kiely Stem Sheet Set

I've been buying Orla Kiely designs for years now. Long before she teamed up with BB&B, I purchased an authentic Orla Kiely multi-stem print duvet cover & shams directly from London to go in my daughter's room. When this set came out, I was sick because it was much less expensive than "the real thing." When I discovered it on clearance at my local store, I jumped at the chance to purchase a set of the green stem print sheets. Words can't describe how disappointed I was in the quality. The cotton was extremely soft, but it was so soft that the sheets felt really old & worn out right out of the package. The next disappointing thing I noticed was that the pillow cases, the fitted sheet, & the top sheet were all made out of inconsistent pieces of fabric. They all looked different from each other, almost as if they were made from completely different bolts of fabrics. I am such a big Orla Kiely fan, I really tried to look past all of this. When I put them on my daughter's bed, I noticed that the linear stem print was printed extremely crooked & could not be straightened no matter how much I tugged at them. As if all of that weren't enough, there were defects in the print as well. The print looked like it faded in places or the print became very thin & faint in spots. The fitted sheet was very baggy & had very thin elastic. All around these sheets were cheap, cheap, cheap! Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love Orla Kiely. In the end I had to take them back. I just couldn't see paying any amount for such horrible quality. Save your money & buy the original Orla Kiely Home items from her website. There's no comparison in the quality.
