I read the other reviews so I have to admit that I do not move this fan often, they stay in the same area. I bought one for the living room and went back and bought another for my bedroom. It is easy to assemble and easy to clean, it is very lightweight. I have no problems with this fan, compared to others in the price range, this was the best choice.

Easy to put together

I thought this was going to be really chintzy at first, because every piece is plastic, but it was so easy to put together -- no tools required! -- and it's quite quiet for a fan.

A VERY CHEAP FAN

The 3 fin blade weighs 2.8 ounces. The poles fit way less snug than those of a vacuum cleaner extension. Way less snug. That means pick it up by the top pole and they come apart. If you lift it by the control assembly, the top pole falls out. It only takes five minutes to put together, but you'll spend 10 minutes trying to believe how B,B & B decided to sell this product. If you leave it in the spot you put it together in and don't touch it, you'll get a decent soft breeze (to about 12 feet on high). I think they made it with a remote control so that you don't have to touch it thereby preventing it from falling apart. What happened to LASKO? I own 3 of their fans, all bought between 1993 & 1997 and they all run right, are powerful and are built tough. That's why I bought it. A relative bought one, but didn't tell me that he returned it. The one plus is, it can't cost much to run being it's so light & the motor runs very smooth. I hope this saves some of you the time & effort. At least you'll know what to expect. There are very many fans in this price range (assuming you used the 20% coupon). Good Luck!

A REAL LIGHTWEIGHT

The parts are almost all very light plastic. The 3 fin (choppy) blade weighs just a few ounces. Considering the amount of plastic that was used, it holds together pretty good, just don't try to move it. Of the very few metal parts, the tubes depend on a plastic nut. Set the height and it always sinks down to the bottom. (about 24" high) maybe it's a better table fan! The inner motor and shaft are metal, but the housing is plastic. If you pick it up without holding the base and lower shaft, it feels like it's about to fall apart. It runs smooth, but with only 3 blades, it is quite choppy. Overall, I would say it's quite disappointing. It feels and works like it's about $3.00 worth of pieces, with poor (snug fitting) design. Quite a mistake to buy. I wanted the remote control and that's why I bought it. No demo fan was display! I'm going to return it. Save your money on this one!

I have just had for about a week and works great. My basement is so cool, and upstairs warm. I bought it to put at the bottom of the stairs and push some of that cold air up. It works great and I can use the remote from the top of the stairs. May need another one for upstairs.

just bought it last night but man, what a difference from what I was using before! This is powerful and certainly cooled the room down. Did not find it noisy at all either. Fingers crossed it will get some life out of it!

This is a very powerful fan for a bedroom, but if you don't have it directly blowing on you it circulates enough air around the room. I have not had any problems with it being noisy and I am a very light sleeper. My only complaint would be that the remote does not have the oscillate feature on it other than that this is the perfect fan.

This fan is makes noise, but you have to be within 6-7 feet to feel any air. May be because it is oscillating very fast.
Remote does not comes with battery. Also remote has very low range, you have to point the remote within 6 feet. Useless function.
My cheap fan from WM works way better than this fan.
I would not recommend this fan.
