I'd been aware of this doormat for awhile before purchasing it and had wanted it for quite sometime. After much googling, one of the few places I found it still offered was here, and the price was much better than anywhere else.

Like other reviewers mention, the picture shown here and the actual product do not exactly correspond. But I did not want the one pictured; I wanted the terracotta-colored version described in the title, and thanks to the one review that was here at the time, I knew that this may have in fact been what I was looking for. I took a chance and ordered it.

I live in a little-known U.S. territory which is often overlooked for inclusion on website ordering forms. After finding that I couldn't place my order through the website, I contacted customer service only to discover that they were unable to place the order for me because my location information wasn't properly configured in their system either. But Loriece, the customer service representative who assisted me, went far above and beyond the call of duty to help get me this item. Because my time zone and schedule are so out of sync with North America's, we ended up having to play "communication tag" several times before we could coordinate so I could provide her with my payment information over the phone. I was really impressed and grateful for her effort; it's probably the best customer service experience I've had with any business.

And I love my doormat! It's exactly what I wanted. I was also later able to acquire some of this doormat's matching stair treads (which apparently aren't sold by BB&B).

If you want to know what this item's coloring is actually like, go to Google Images and search using the keywords "mohawk" and "gothic iron"; some of the pictures that come up will show this same style of doormat, but with the terracotta color that one can expect when ordering. As far as the version with shades of gray depicted in the image here, I did come across it elsewhere on the web, in the past...

This doormat is orange. The photo is incorrect. Do not buy this based on the photo they show, it looks nothing like it.

I agree with the earlier response that this item does not look like its photo. I expected it to be more neutral tan and brown shades but is instead a reddish clay. I read the earlier comment prior to ordering and assumed she accidentally ordered the similar item labeled as red clay. Nope, this item is also red. I gave it a fair rating because it is a very nice product but not what it is listed as.

the picture here looks as if this doormat is made up of shades of brown but in actuality it is very red/clay-looking with the outer edge having a blue tint.
i still think it's a great product, just very different from what you see here.
