Great looking stools, I used the counter height legs and as much as I tighten the screws and or bolts the stools are still wobbly.

My husband put one bar stool of the three together and it was shaky and unstable. While he continued to put the second together, the screw holes were too big and the bolt would not catch. Not worth time or money.

I purchased these chairs thinking they were a good deal. After sitting in them for less than an hour, the chair's legs have completely taken a new shape and caved in. We are going to have to buy new chairs again because these clearly were not made to be sat in. They are horrible quality and not worth your money!

Bar Stools

I am thrilled with these stools. I purchased them online as a "pig in a poke" and on clearance. They arrived within 3 days of ordering in a box that looked too small to hold 3 stools. I began to open the box and found they were packaged very well and all parts were available for me to assemble.
I'm a 70 yrs old female but have had experience in assembling things, so I found this to be just another challenge. The instructions for assembly were simple and informative.
I just renovated my kitchen with a beautiful granite top island. These chairs only accent the island and makes a wonderful place to have my coffee in the morning.
I highly recommend these chairs. The price was spectacular and assemble easy.
LOVE these chairs.

I purchased one of these on sale in the store. Yes, it was wobbily and the screws were stipped, so I put new screws in and was able to tighten them securely. Now the stool is sturdy and perfect!

I had these chairs for less than 6 months and so far all of them are bent and leaning to the side. I do not have any over weight people sitting on them and could only imagine what they would look like if I did!! Trying to get my money back!!!

We just refinished a bar space in our home. These stools matched. I was concerned because it seemed like my husband needed to use more tools than the basic wrench or Alan wrench that came with the hard ware. However he had them put together in about 20 minute for all 3. We have had several gatherings and so far they are holding up well. I would be concerned if the kids were standing on the foot rests but the adults have used them and they are holding up just fine. They are stylish and medium sturdy.

Much assembly required, flimsy

Took quite a bit of time to assemble. Screws striped easy. The last page of the manual discloses that cannot take over 250 lbs. Flimsy and cheap quality. The height adjustment is great but if you are looking for something solid go elsewhere.

These are not Restoration Hardware stools. I just moved into a studio in Manhattan and have a breakfast counter that could use some stools, so I purchased the Madison Metal Stools set. They're pretty easy to put together and are sturdy. The swivel is good -- we've had them for about a month now and have had no issues. Are they the sturdiest stools I have ever seen? No. Do you feel like they're going to collapse under your weight? Absolutely not. They are sturdy stools that have no problem holding up my 6'0 180lb frame -- they do have a weight limit stated on the bottom of around 250 though so this may be an issue for some - we haven't had anyone heavier than me sit on them yet.
My girlfriend and I both like them and sit in the regularly to eat breakfast before work/on the weekends. I'd recommend these to anyone who is looking for stools but isn't in a position to spend hundreds of dollars on pre-fab/crafted stools.

We've had these for 2 weeks and bought them to "upgrade" the set purchased from a "discount store" 5 years ago. After two weeks, the stools wobble. It is impossible to tighten the screws because they are stripped. Will be taking them back and resurrecting the old set, that are STILL sturdy after 5 years of daily use.

The reviewers who set this stool up and said "Ooo, shiny! pretty!" and gave it 5 stars are idiots. Pay more and get better quality that will last longer than 2 months. Don't waste your money.

These stools went together nicely. They look good and feel good. My husband is very mechanically inclined and said they went together extremely well without any difficulty. He does not anticipate having any problems. I cannot believe the negative reviews. You certainly cannot beat the quality and price. Hope all is well in the future. I would definitely recommend based on our stools.

I really wanted to like these, but after assembling them, my wife who is 120-130 lbs. sat on one and it immediately started to sway and bend. Will be returning them to the store.

I bought these chairs which claim they hold up to 200 or so pounds. My family are all small framed , two which are kids 7 and 12. We had these chairs less than a month they are already falling apart , screw by screw it is pathetic that these chairs are even on the market.
I will be bringing mine back to the store tomorrow.

Bar stools (set of 3) - Dark brown

We highly recommend this set. They were packaged very well without scratches. Very easy to assemble but lock washers were linked together and had to be separated. Nevertheless, a very good set and they look outstanding at our adjusted 24 inch height. The price is what initially attracted us to this product at $149.99, along with their appearance.

Do not purchase these bar stools. Included with the instructions are directions on how to get replacement parts sent to you for free. There's a reason for that... you're going to need them! The grooves in the leg pieces are misaligned or stripped so the screws never actually tighten. After trying 3 different leg pieces we still couldn't get ONE leg on!! Don't waste your time or money!
