Good dish rack for a small space

I'm very surprised at the other negative reviews of this dish rack. I had been looking for one that was a bit on the smaller side, as I don't have much counter space to spare. I've had it for about 2 months so far, and have had no problems with it thus far. I saw that a lot of people mentioned that their cups don't dry properly- I hang my cups/mugs on the metal prongs that are on the opposite side of where the silverware is placed- this elevates most cups and there is plenty of air flow this way. Since it isn't huge in size, sometimes I do have trouble putting everything from my dishwasher in there, but I was looking for something this size so I can't complain about that. I have had no problems with mold (my dishwasher dries my dishes, it just seems that it doesn't fully dry them), maybe because I'm not putting completely wet dishes in it? I purchased this on clearance in store for $14.99 (and used a $5 off coupon!) so for the price I couldn't go wrong. I would recommend this product and am very happy with my purchase!

I purchased Open Frame Dishrack Stainless Steel last month. After using the dish rack for a few weeks, we found water leaking from the bottom of the channel waterway where it is designed to catch the water and drain it to the sink. We though it might be a defective product so we returned it and replaced it with the same Open Frame Dishrack Stainless Steel. However, again....the water leaks from the same waterway section of the new dish rack. I spoke with customer support and they told me that they cannot fix the problem. If you do not want to go through the same hassle, I recommend to purchase another brand.

After Six months of use - not happy

I've had this product for six months which I purchased after comparing all the ones available in my local BB&B store. I bought it because of its footprint and that it was raised. I was happy at first, but soon discovered its problems. This is made for dishes. I have a dishwasher and mainly wash pots and pans in which large lids and pans hang over the side and drain all over the counter. It needs a middle set of dish holders to stop this. Also, cook sheets have to be wedged in since they don't really fit. If you try to set a heavier pan in the dish holders, which are removable, the dish holder just pops out and won't hold up the pan. The metal drying tray for glasses doesn't drain properly and water sits on it, so glassed don't dry. Mold starts to grow in areas from where it can't be washed out. It has also now started leaking at the screw that holds the pivotal spout to the drainer, so water now goes all over my counter. If I could still take it back, I would. Now I need to spend more money to find one that actually works.

Doesn't perform its core function very well

The stainless steel drying plate seems to be its Achilles’ heel. Water tends to sit on it rather than drain away. Putting cups on the stainless steel drying plate causes water to collect around the rim and moisture to be retained inside the cup. The stainless steel drying plate just isn’t sloped enough and/or the holes are not large enough for water to more easily drain away into its fancy drainage system. What’s the point if it looks nice and has a cool drainage system if it can’t dry my cups as well as my old $10 dish rack. Pretty disappointing for a $50 dish rack that supposedly has engineering behind it - seriously thinking of returning it.
