Got this processor as a gift for mothers day 2013. I can't wipe the smile off of my face. It is a dream come true. ADJUSTABLE SLICES. I entertain alot, this has cut my prep time considerably. My presentation due to the adjustable slicing has gone further upscale. very happy imagination running wild because there is no limitation to what I can do with this machine. No it's not my first one
I have an 11cup processor by another major company which I have no problem with I just love this one better. I may donate the old one to my church's kitchen.

I just got a new Kitchen Aid, after my old one gave out after 15 years. I worried about the reviews that said that certain ones didn't run at all. I thought mine didn't, but I kept trying - and I found that the buttons are very hard to activate. I called Kitchen Aid, and they said that is true when the machine is new, the buttons will become easier.

My last food processor was 12 years old very well used when I purchased this one. The new Kitchen Aid is great. Much larger bowl, adjustable blade. Love it!!!!

I researched consumer reports and this one was rated the best food processor and it is! Easy to use and many additional components. I have not been able to use them all yet but I'm looking forward to it. I would recommend this product over the others.

Poorly Made Product

We had previously owned a fabulous Kitchen Aid 7-cup food processor, but the motor wore out after 6 years of heavy use. We loved it, but Kitchen Aid had discontinued that design. We "upgraded" to this 13-cup model. Right away, we noticed that the quality of the material of the base and the bowl/cup was inferior to the one we had previously owned. After 2 months of light use, the spinning mechanism cracked. We returned it to the store (VERY good customer service, btw - no problem with the return!) and ordered another of this 13-cup model. Unfortunately, this one also broke within one month! I suspect another crack, because the blade just wobbles back & forth on the spinning mechanism and won't turn. Sadly, my trust in the Kitchen Aid name is gone - at least in the food processor category.

Slices are uneven

I bought it a month ago and since then have been very happy with it. But it has a engeneering flaw with slicing. The slicing blade is flexible: it moves up and down. The thickness of the slices depends on the amount of pressure you put on the produce. It did a horrible job with red potatoes. The sliced ranged from 1mm thin to 1/4 inch thick.

I have it for a month now and used it almost everday, and so far the only thing thats disappointing is when setting the thickness of slices they are uneven.
