I think it's a great machine

What a great little machine. It heats up fast & is ready to go before my beans have even finished grinding! As others have noted, the crema this produces is amazing. Very rich and thick. I tend to drink Americanos and this does a splendid job. Temperature is exactly the way I like it, not too hot, not too cool.

The steamer produces a heavy cloud of steam, and is easy to clean.

Takes up little counter space.

Of all the espresso machines I've owned over the years, this is not only the best one of the batch, but it's the least expensive one to boot. No bells & whistles, just a great espresso.

Does what I need

I had a coffee/espresso combo machine that died after 10 years and I missed being able to brew an espresso. I'd been given a Breville induction frother (wonderful!), so the steam wand feature is not important to me.

I bought this unit at BB&B after comparing it to the more expensive Cuisinart automatic machine. I'm satisfied with this purchase so far (with caveats noted below).

It has a removable water tank that holds enough for several cups of brew. I really like the fact that when you flip up the lid for the water container, there is storage for the single and double filters as well as the measuring scoop.

The crema is amazing! I can even do barista style art with it!

I did try the steam wand and probably wasn't doing it right, but I was not impressed at all. The instructions were confusing and I ended up with watery warm milk despite purging the wand as instructed. But since I have a wonderful frother already, it's not a big deal to me. Without that, though, I probably would have returned this unit. After all, what good is the machine if you can't prepare a nice cappacino when the desire hits?

The brew could be a little hotter, but it's acceptable to me - I just get the milk hotter.

Do I love it? No. Would I recommend it to others? Only if they already have a frother. Would I buy it again? Probably not if I needed the steam wand feature.

I received this espresso machine for Christmas, and thought it was wonderful. It worked great making 2-3 drinks a week until now. This last week the steamer will not steam. It pumps water, takes time to heat, and brews espresso fine, but that does me no good without a steamer. Don't be fooled by the price! You get what you pay for with this!

We got this, and it took forever to even make milk lukewarm... and forget the espresso. We tried very hard tog et it to work, and read all of the instructions! We brought it back to BB&B and got the $200 Cuisine art, with the coupon it was just a bit more expensive. Everything on ti worked on the first try...

Very Disappointed

Purchased and very disappointed. The creama was nice, but the coffee is not at all as hot as it should be. At best it has a lukewarm temp. The cup warmer barely gets warm enough to warm my hands. I am returning. I will try a gaggia expresso next

I recently got this XP3200 to replace a high-end super automatic espresso machine I sold last year. This is really a great little machine! It doesn't take up much space, it heats up quickly, it's simple to use, it makes a great espresso with a rich crema, plus it has a 2 year warranty! I used the 20% off coupon and got it for $103.99. Great brand, great price, no disappointments!
