Love the look of the pot, the light when dispensing but the life time of the pot not so great. I've had this pot for not quite a year worked great , just stop brewing coffee one day, unplugged it took out the filter but still wouldn't brew, heating element worked but wouldn't brew the coffee. For the price of $ 99.99 not worth it, wouldn't give $9.99 for it now. Giving it 2 stars only because I liked the light and looks. Think I'll go back to the Brew Station at least it worked for 2-3 years.
NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

On Demand Coffee Maker

Definitely my favorite coffee maker. I'm on my 2nd one. Only problem I have is that after 2 years, it starts leaking from the coffee reservoir. Always leaks from the same place. Cost of replacement part is from $35-$39 and to replace the whole machine is $99. Don't know if it's worth spending the better part of $40 plus S/H to repair a two to three year old appliance, when replacement is a little more than double that. I think they should provide a replacement for the center piece of the reservoir (part that touches the heating element) at a much lower cost or else build it so it doesn't leak so soon. My previous coffee makers lasted until I gave them away, broke the caraf or just wanted a new one (usually after many years).

I received this coffee maker from my husband as a Christmas gift. I love it. It makes great coffee, very easy to use and the coffee never gets 'old' or over cooked. I am going to get another one for our summer home. I like this maker also because it looks great and unlike one cup, it makes great tasting multiple cups. can not say enough about it!

This coffee maker is the best one I have ever owned. My husband and I weighed the options of getting a Keurig, but we like more then one cup a day and with the cost of those 1 use Kcups, no thanks! This coffee maker is great, easy to clean, no coffee pot to constantly pick up and pour with worry of spilling. Super easy to clean and all around a nice looking item to add to our stainless steel kitchen! GREAT PRICE TOO!

This is now our second Cuisinart CoffeeMaker. Our first was product #DCC-2000 for 4 years and now DCC-3000, both were and now very good products and just a little difference between the two are: #3000 when you place your coffee mug into the space for coffee and you press down the tap for coffee a light comes on for you to see your mug fill up - VERY NICE and the other nice feature is: where the water goes (the #2000 you have to lift the lid up and water runs down the back of unit).
So far I have had No Leaks, it's keeping the proper temp and easy to clean.
Awesome job Cuisinart!!!

Save your money, this product quit working after 3 month. I call the company and all they would say was use vinegar and water in the pot to clean it. I did what they told me to do, and it still would not work, so my husband called, they told him the same thing, and again, It still does not work. They would not even offer to fix it.

We have owned this product for 8 months and it stopped working. We love it's style and functionality but on this site I see many reports of it failing. Our unit would still heat but the water would not flow from reservoir to the filter mechanism.. We're hopeful Cuisinart will see all the returns and fixed the problems on this unit. By the way, it's made in China.
The only reasons we replaced it with the same unit are we liked it's function, Bed Bath and Beyond's return policy and many other brands don't have great customer feedback either. Check out other brands and models feedback and "flip a coin". Good luck!

Not Recommended - Stopped working after 8 months

The title says it all. It stopped brewing one day. I've tried numerous times after to get it to brew and only the heating element inside heats up, but won't brew coffee. Unplugged it hoping it would reset something... and nothing. I misplaced my receipt to return it to BB&B so now it's just a cumbersome kitchen decor.... that doesn't work.

I love this coffee maker. I had a hamilton beach of a similar style. After 5 years it finally gave up. I couldn't find another like it so I went with thsi one. I have not had any of the problems that others have mentioned. The only problem that I am starting to have is that when I wash the coffee reservoir I get black things coming out. It seems to be coming from where the coffee gauge thing is. If I put hot soapy water in it an let it soak for a while and then shake it to pour it out of the side they come out. So far I have yet to do this and have none come out. I tried pushing a denture tablet into the hole in the bottom and it loosened up alot, but it has been two weeks and I am still getting this. I have tried everyday for the last two weeks to soak and rinse it clean and still black flakes. I wonder what it is that we are drinking. I would welcome any suggestions on how to get the inside walls of the reservoir clean.

Leaks-Cuisinart doesn't care

Leaked out of the dispenser all over my floor within a few weeks. I called Cuisinart who offered to send me a replacement of the same model if I would pay for shipping and pay to ship the defective unit back. $25 in shipping for a $75 (with coupon) coffeemaker. To send me a different model, they would have to replace it twice. In other words, I'd end up with double the money into the coffee maker. They wouldn't put in a ticket, which they need thousands of to do a recall, unless I was dumb enough to pay them to replace it so it could leak all over my floor again... Worst company ever.

We are returning our 4th Cuisinart Coffee on Demand; initially we thought this would be a great compromise between the traditional brewer and the single pod brewer. Not so. Each time we had it for a short period at which time it started to leak after lowering the dispenser lever. . There seems an inherent defect in the design and manufacture of this product. Would not recommend it.

Bought this shortly before Christmas and I could never get the right coffee and water to get the same taste I acquire, had to return for another type of maker. Also the coffee temperature was unacceptable, after adding any kind of creamer the coffee is too cool, buyer beware

We bought one of these for christmas and it began leaking a couple of weeks later. So, we called the Cuisinart company and they sent us a new one free of charge. Now,, we have not had this one very long and it's leaking as bad as the other one. We have bought a new coffee maker and it is still a Cuisinart, but with the glass picture. We like it so much better.

I have never written a review before but I had to this time. I have had this coffee maker for less than a month and it is already down for the count. It keeps indicating I need to clean it even after I have followed the cleaning instructions 3 times! Moisture is in the level gauge which is suppose to allow you to see how much coffee remains. It gurgles loudly when brewing. I normally love Cuisinart products but they let me down on this one.

I thought we had bought a great coffee maker a few months ago. No, we I was wrong. It worked well for like a month and then it began leaking. I did all the troubleshooting but couldn't fix it. Now, when I say leak I don't mean a few tbsp I mean like a couple cups. The gauge went from slightly less than half full to empty in a matter of 30 minutes...all that wasted coffee!!!! Thought Cuisinart was better than that...hate,hate,hate

LEAKS -- Don't Buy!

So sad...We expect much, much better from Cuisinart. We had a previous version of this coffee maker -- loved it! -- and used it for three years until it "died." We drink a lot of coffee at our house, so we figured we'd gotten our money's worth from it and wanted to buy another one just like it. I read the "it leaks" reviews from a few people here and thought, "Nah...can't be true." But -- less than a month after purchasing it, we have experienced what others have complained out. What a mess! And of of course, shame on me, I didn't keep the receipt and can't return it for a replacement.
Cuisinart: Fix what's wrong with this model! It brews great coffee, but it shouldn't break after three weeks.

I had been a long time K cup user and switched to this after being frustrated with the waste and cost of the keuirg lifestyle. There are several things I did not like about this coffee maker which lead to after 2 months returning it.
* It does not make hot coffee, and after it heats it up it tastes "burnt"
*There is no way to select how strong you want the coffee or really any type of customization besides the automatic timer feature.
We returned it for the more expensive Krups on demand machine, it has a dual warmer and many other features this machine lacks.

Brews not hot and not flavorful coffee

I have had many coffee makers in the past and I would have to say that this is the worst ever. It was given to me and they can have it back! I brew great coffees either Starbucks or organic blends and grind them myself. I would have to say that this maker does not deserve this quality of a coffee. It doesn't brew it hot enough and brew it so fast that the flavor is lost. My old KitchenAid worked better. I have a Krups espresso maker and have had many great drip makers....going back to a Keirug or a Capresso.
