It is not a magic mat, however, it definitly helps with the amount of dirt/mud coming in from 2 dogs. I would say the amount of dirt tracked in now is about 1/2 of what was coming in before I placed the clean step mat by the doggie door. That makes the mat worth it to me.

Ordered direct from Clean Step Mat. Washed before use as instructed... backing coming off and flaking! Called for a refund and I have to pay return shipping to get refund for this DEFECTIVE product!! POOR QUALITY!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Would rate 0 stars if I could.

I bought this item for my neighbor who owns 3 dogs, had to put it to the test. She has no grass in her back yard. I washed it on gentle/delicate cycle cold water.. had to run it through the spin cycle one more time, hung it up to dry. IT works great! I am buying a much larger one for my home for my kitchen since I don't have a mud room. 4 stars wish it was bigger.

I have 2 dogs that track in dirt every time they come inside, so when I saw this I thought I would give it a try. I washed and dried it like the instructions say, and it didn't do the job. My dogs still tracked in tons of dirt and mud! Don't waste your money.

The mat was a little smaller than i expected but it makes up for it when you have everyone running into the house with wet feet. They hit the clean step mat and "BAM" no more wet feet. It really works!

This mat looked like a good idea to trap dust and dirt going from my garage to house. I followed the instructions which are to wash the mat BEFORE USE in cold water on the delicate cycle. It came out soaking/dripping wet(so I guess it does absorb water) and the rubber backing torn up and flaking off. Very poor quality! I will be returning it tomorrow! Do not waste your time buying this product!

I don't get it but this carpet really works! We have two large dogs with a muddy back yard and I wipe their paws on this carpet upon entrance and unbelievable, it really prevents them from tracking mud in the house. Also, followed the instructions for washing before hand and the backing did not fall apart, non of the carpet fell apart.

followed direction and wash on delicate as stated.
The bottom rubber part of the mat fell apart. thought it would be great asI have two dogs. but if it fell apart on the first washing what would happen a few months down the road when you have to wash it again. Not a good item.
