I am a teacher and I purchased this for home and school use. It is easy to carry with you and easy to use after you read the directions. and play around with it for a bit. If you are scanning from a book you have to make sure the book is as flat as you can get it but it does the job. I have had mine for about 7 months now and my dog actually chewed threw the USB cord a few months back. I figured that was all on me so I called them to ask if I could buy a new one and they said it was under warranty so they would just send me a new one for free. I was not expecting that! All in all, very pleased for the money.

I like this scanner - the directions are pretty basic, if you follow them exactly this little machine brings out clear images. As a genealogist I have a lot of documents that I scan daily, this machine will save me and my clients several dollars.
There are 2 downfalls that I have noticed right away - 1. I have to crop each picture (when I purchased the scanner there was nothing that stated it was suppose to crop itself) so I expected as much!
2. The software that came with the scanner "Page Manager 7" I am finding it difficult to maneuver around. I am continuing to use my own Photo software.as a solution.
For the money this little handy machine was worth every dime!
