Great Little Heater!

I purchased this about a year ago to heat my art studio. The studio is above a wood shop and was built with attic trusses so it has low side walls vaulting up to an 8' high ceiling. The room is 28' long and 16' wide at the widest. Much to my delight this thing actually heats the space!! I set it at one end on a slight angle up (plywood on a 2x4) and it will heat the space from 60º to 66º in a matter of 2 hours...with an outside temp of 40º or less. I find that rather impressive for the size of the heater. I was afraid I'd have to go to a wall mount 220v to heat the space. So, was delighted to find this. I was also thrilled with it's quiet factor! Hardly know it's running!

Why the 4 stars and not 5?...it can't be set for below 65º. I would like to set it about 60º for overnight. Oh, well, can't have it all, I guess! Oh, and when it's up to temp, the fan keeps running, instead of turning off completely. I'll live. For heating ability...a full 5 stars.

And, we just started using it in our 16' travel trailer and it heats it up in a heartbeat! (it's in the 20's outside!)

Stopped working in 3 weeks

Bought this for my daughter to use in her apartment for a little extra warmth. Liked that it had a nice thermostat to set and keep safe temperature. Fan stopped working after 3 weeks making it unusable. Very disappointed to say the least and my daughter has many chilly days until we can get this product exchanged or our money refunded.

I have an 8x8 room with a low cieling. I plugged the heater in and waited for the room to get warm, but it never did. The output of heat wasn't that warm. I left it on for over 2 hours on high set to 90. No change. One side of the fan puts out cold air the other warm. Thinking it was defective, I got another one. Same thing happened and now it's going back. I just plugged in my 20 buck tiny Holmes heater which is much better than this junk!

I had a similar ORIGINAL Vornado heater for 22 years and it finally gave out. Got this one a year ago and it works fine. I believe people who complain don't know how to use it. Heats a very large room and then some in less than a minute with it's soft heat.

I Love This Heater

I've had this heater for about two weeks and use it to maintain the temperature in two connected rooms in my house. When I'm using this heater I do not use any other source of heat. It's quiet and does an amazing job. At first when reading the other reviews I wasn't sure I would want to keep it. Now I love it. By the way I forgot to mention I maintain the heat in my house using the low setting and I live in Michigan where it's starting to get cold. It's December and we just got our first snow yesterday and it's nice and toasty warm with my Vornado heater.

i agree with the other reviews. it's worthless. turned it on and there was some heat but the fan didn't seem to move it. then it started making a noise like the fan was hitting something inside. turned it off for a while. when i turned it back on the noise was gone and so was the heat. read online this model is built in china.
i ususally read reviews before i buy. wish i had read these reviews first.

For the price I paid, or at any price for that matter, this was a huge disappointment. We ran it at the highest setting for hours, and it did nothing to raise the temperature of the room. We even moved it to a small bedroom to see if it performed better there, and it did not. I am returning it tomorrow, and absolutely cannot recommend it to anyone.

This heater broke after the first day of usage. It was blowing cold air instead of hot. I had to return it the following day. It is a typical poor quality chinese product, although not cheap at all. I am sorry to say, but in this country even if you are willing to spend more money to buy a good quality product made either in US or in West Europe, you just cannot find one. Chinese or other Asian (non- japonese) products invaded everything, although the quality is so low.
