Great replacement hotpot

I purchaed this hotpot as a replacement for another brand I had been buying for many years from BB&B, but they no longer carry....now I know why. This Proctor-Silex is FAR SUPERIOR to the "old" brand and I highly appreciate the improved performance and wearability. Much better made and no problems with flaking non-stick coating as "old" brand had, plus better temp control. All in all, I'm pleased that this is now the "brand of choice" at BB&B for low-cost heating/water boiling.

It advertises options for heating. There's only one option: boil. It does that well...Other than that, you can't fill it up that far despite the size of it. I'm sure there's safety reasons for that, but you literally can only fill up less than half of it. Only fits under some faucets well, since it's taller than it looks due to the attached base. Get something more expensive than this.

It was amazing how fast the water started boiling! It also cooked my noodles perfectly! Though the temperature control is not very exact. It is easy and quick to use! It is also extremely cheap compared to other water boilers.
