SodaStream Fizz turns water into soda in seconds. Home soda maker features an amazing Fizz Chip that monitors the gas level and displays the amount of CO2 left in the carbonator, so you'll always know when it's time to exchange the CO2 canister. The Fizz Chip also allows you to monitor the carbonation level as you press the carbonating button, so you can make your favorite fizzy drink just the way you like it. You can fizz and flavor to your taste, without high-fructose corn syrup or aspartame (sweetened with Splenda). Enjoy regular, diet soda and energy drinks, or create your own seltzer or flavored sparkling water at a fraction of the cost of store bought beverages. Includes one reusable 1 liter BPA-free carbonating bottle with a fizz-preserving cap and one 60L CO2 carbonator that makes up to 60 liters of fizzy beverages. Includes Sodamix variety pack. 11 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 18 1/4" H. 2-year warranty. Note: This product requires a customer signature upon delivery.

We don't drink many sodas but we love "fizzy water" as we call it. This was a great purchase for that use. We've tried the samples of soda flavors and found most of them very good. But the sample packs are quite enough for us to get some variety when we want it. My only complaint is that the 'fizzometer' seems a litte off sometimes. No biggie really, we can tell when it's right without the assistance.

I was very skeptical when i first saw these in the store and finally decided to try one. My roommate made fun of me for buying but now i think he uses it more than I do. The flavors don't quite taste like Pepsi or Coke but they are close enough. I really enjoy making the flavored seltzer waters. I purchase seltzer water at work quite often so I'm considering buying one for my office to save money. I buy one or two a day so i figure this will pay for itself in in a month or so.

Fun and a Good Value

This is a fun way to have your soda and save some money (in the long run) too. I agree with Dolph S, in that you must use the coldest water possible to keep the carbonation from leaking out too fast. If the water from your refrigerator door is not cold enough, try putting the bottle of water into the fridge for about 20 minutes or so, and THEN add the carbonation. I've never travelled with the soda once made, but I've been able to keep a 1 liter bottle for about 2 or 3 days after it's been made, and that's been without refrigeration. After day 3 however, the carbonation is completely gone, and I do not recommend attempting to recarbonate the remainder (I tried that, and it had some rather messy results). A down side to the product is that I bought the Fizz, and it's supposed to show you how much carbonation you've added to your water, but it has yet to do so. I'm not sure if this is a glitch, or just a mis-labelling of information on the outer packaging. Regardless, I've found that my personal carbonation preference is a total of 6 pushes on the lever. I loved the sample pack provided with my purchase, and my favorite flavors so far are the Diet Rootbeer and Regular Rootbeer, and I do like the Diet Dr. Pete (it did take a little getting used to, and I found that the colder the water, the better the flavor). The one flavor I completely dislike, is the Diet Ginger Ale. I'm a fan of Canada Dry Ginger Ale, though, so that is a tough one to beat, and the SodaStream Ginger Ale is definitely NOT a match for Canada Dry. I wish the sample had included the Grape flavor, and also made a diet of it (but then, I have yet to find ANY company that makes a Diet Grape). The Regular and Diet Cola was OK, but nothing spectacular. I haven't tried the sample of the Energy drink, but I probably won't, as I'm not a fan of those types of drinks. The Orange isn't bad. I was worried it would be when I saw how syrupy it was, coming out of the sample bottle. One major thing I wish the company would change, is the tiny print on the side of the flavor bottles saying, "Shake Well." It really should be on the front of the bottle, and in LARGE PRINT. I wasted half of the Diet Doctor Pete bottle I bought before noticing that I was supposed to be shaking the flavor up before adding it to the carbonated water. Other than that, it's a great way to cut back on your soda purchases, and if you drink tea or coffee, instead of soda when you're out, you'll definitely save in money and calories by making your own soda at home!
Pros: Fun, and easy to use, money saver, plenty of flavors to choose from
Cons: Upon opening, had to use the backup battery because the original in the machine was dead; machine is supposed to indicate how much carbonation you've added to the water, but fails to do so; carbonation can leak too fast if the water isn't cold enough to start with.

I spend a small fortune on diet cola at work not to mention at home. If you ever total up a year's worth of purchases you may be horrified (as I was). Meanwhile, I frequently travel to Europe and other countries where I often find bottled, sparkling water sold alongside still water. I like the sparkling water just as well as diet cola (I just do not find still water satisfying). So, the Sodajet seemed the perfect way to save money and provide a drink I like. It's working, but with some limitations. I use chilled water right from my refrigerator door and carbonate per instructions (even adding a bit more than the standard 3-buzz rule used to determine how fizzy your drink will be). The freshly made drink is delicious, bubbly, cold, and satisfying. But I find the drink loses its fizz much faster than a bottled drink. For example, I make a 1L bottle before leaving for work, drive about 45 minutes, then open it shortly after arrival only to find the drink is already less fizzy than when I made it. Within a very short time of opening and closing, the drink is flat. I’ve read that you need really pure, cold water to get good carbonation so may experiment a bit more. Overall, at home, I will have to say I buy almost no carbonated drinks anymore - I can make fresh soda anytime I want it and it's great. But, I am still paying for drinks at work. My original objective is only half met but is going to save money overall and reduce my environmental impact a bit as well. In other notes, I have the SodaChip model with the display on it. This activates but has never really worked. It still shows a full gas canister (3 months later) and never registers the amount of carbonation going in my drink as it is supposed to. One of the bottles is already losing its seal causing me to lose even more carbonation. It had not been used that much - my other 1L bottle I bought separately still seems ok. Adding flavored syrup seems to cause faster loss of fizz.. The diet cola and orange tastes good but the Diet Dr. you-know-who is awful (these were from the sample pack included with the machine). The machine is larger than it looks in photos so check the product measurements and plan your counter spot for it accordingly. Now, did I mention what a nice Scotch and Soda you can make with it??

I purchased the Fizz about a month ago. The sales lady said they just arrived. I've been buying Pellegrino for my husband for a long time and finally can make it at home. I did a blind taste test to him and he guessed which was which, but he said it was so close hard to tell and was 100% fine drinking home made sparkling water. Saving me a bundle not to mention that i was sick of carrying Pellegrino from Wal-Mart. The teenage kids like the making soda too and as much as i'm not into soda, the syrups have WAY less sugar than canned soda. They like the Mountain Dew and Orange similiar products. I can't say enough good things about their product. It is made sturdy too. I might buy an extra CO2 - having 3 total, but that's overkill. I just don't like shopping much though i'm sure Bed Bath and Beyond would like me walking in more often! Hope this hels and by the way would make a great gift especially for someone that has everything. The $99.00 package sounds like a great buy, though i got the Fizz.
