After reading other reviews about having it shipped, I was really nervous to have the shelves mailed to me and then the box arrived /really/ banged up and dirty but thank goodness, the shelves were in perfect condition (minus one bent shelf support piece but that is easy to fix :)

Very pretty shelves with NO assembly required--definitely recommend them!

These bookcases are great. Come fully assembled, are real wood, very sturdy and good-looking. They come with hardware for stacking two, and advice for securing to the the wall if you think it necessary. I ordered two and the bookshelves came very quickly by Fed Ex, one at a time. The shelves do not sag under a full load of books and the shelves lock into the support brackets. I looked long and hard at other sites and these bookcases are the best I found for value. The only thing I don't like is that you have to put a large book on either side of the shelves when loading, as the open sides make it possible for a smaller book to fall out, but that is no big deal. Seriously recommended!

Perfect for small spaces

Unlike the other reviews I bought my shelves in the store and it arrived with no issues. For the price- the quality and style are very attractive. It fits perfectly in the small space I had to place it in and the few books I had to store on it. I would definitely recommend this as a purchase to be proud about.

I like the bookshelf quite a bit. It was not available at my local store, so I mail ordered it. The box was badly damaged, and when I started to open it I could see the splinters of what used to be a shelf. Brought it in to my local store and they took it back and reordered it for me -- no muss no fuss -- except they could not accept delivery (to verify that the product had survived) it had to be to my house again. Again, it was damaged, but this time the damage was not so severe, so I kept it. Pick it up in a store if you can!

A prior review is correct.....Buy this bookcase at the store, NOT online. This bookcase is nice and sturdy, BUT I (dummy) ordered it online...MISTAKE!...it arrived a tad banged up. I had to glue a small wood piece that came off during shipping. I think some of these delivery companies throw our packages on the ground and run over them....sheesh!

This is a great basic bookcase. It can fit almost anywhere and it looks good. Fold it up and put it away or put it somewhere else. Very simple. My only suggestion is get it in the store if possible. Mine came cracked and it was just too much of a hassle to return it so I made it work.
