Motor Can't Handle Everyday Use

I purchased this blender in February and the motor stopped working a month later. I exchanged it for another and the second one stopped working a month and a half later. My husband I use it for protein shakes and smoothies, nothing else. Apparently it can't handle daily use. It is a great blender when it actually works.

I bought this a week ago and it just doesn't do it. I put garlic to blen, the blades are set to high that they would just pass over the garlic. It would not blend the ingredients properly. I kept having to open up the lid to mix with a spoon. Also had to keep slamming the lid to close becuase the latch would no catch. I have a Cuisinart 14 cup processor that I now use for my business. That is a work horse and worth every penny.
I'm going to return this ASAP and go with another Cuisinart for my home.

I bough it just last week & i had to return it the next day :( I was disappointed because from the reviews it suppose to be the '' BEST BLENDER EVER'' but its NOT. I was making the cooking dough & it overheated or something it burnt out the smoke was coming out of it it didn't work at all so i had no choice to return it. It's not worth buying it I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I was so excited to get this for Christmas after watching the commercials about it. It is NOT what it's cracked up to be, especially for the price. It is not a food processor....not a true one. It won't slice like a processor, it would just dice up food. As far as the blender goes and the ice crusher....mine still had ice chunks in it. Most smoothies call for 4 or 5 ice cubes and it wouldn't even crush all of those up. My Magic Bullet works better as a blender than this thing. Will be returning it.

LOVE this machine

I own 2 Kitchenaid stand mixers, Cuisinart pro. food processor and Calphalon stick blender for my baking business. the bigger the motor- I will get it for the power. having only bought those brand names and very satisfied, I was very unsure w/ the Ninja name and brand as maybe being cheap and not powerful enough to turn whole fruit & veggies into a healthy drink!
Boy I was wrong. I wanted to start juicing for my daughter and myself, but know juicers remove the fiber from what you juice! This machine has made smoothies from whole apples, carrots, celery and so much more. Depending on how much liquid added you control the thickness. If you keep it on the thick side you could say it's the consistency of applesauce , just add more liquid to make it smoother. The next best thing is-
you don't have a dozen little pieces to take apart and clean like a juicer. I take the blade out and rinse and DONE. There are no little crevices or hard angles to have to try and get at to get it clean. I use the Ninja daily and LOVE it, I only can hope it's going to be a long lived appliance in my kitchen!!!!!!

I read all the reviews and did plenty of research before I bought this. My girl friend and I needed a new blender to make smoothies with because our old one died. Not having the funds to invest in a Vitamix I was hoping this would be an economical alternative. Once I got this home the first thing I noticed was how cheaply its made,it does not have the look and feel of longevity.I made a smoothie that they had in the booklet it came with; it was ok but the ice was not well blended nor was as smooth as the ones we had made with our old blender. On top of that the lid did not want to open and close well.I boxed it all back up and took it back and exchanged it for a Calphalon blender. I hope this will work better than the Ninja, it seems to be made alot better. Once I use it for awhile I will do a review on it as well. I know the Ninja has alot of fans but its just not for me.

Ninja feedback

I did a LOT of research before this purchase, and read good and bad things about it, so I'll give my opinion too. I needed to replace a Healthmaster, that started leaking through the blade assembly. I've had it 2+ years, used almost daily for the last 4 months to make green smoothies. Still emulsifing whole fruits and veggies and greens just great, so I was happy with the results, but getting tired of cleaning up grease/oil/green smoothie from the base and the bottom of the pitcher. From other reviews online, it's not an uncommon problem, but nearly impossible to correct. So, a replacement? I wasn't convinced I needed to fork out $300-400+ for a vitamix or blendtec, and this unit has 1000 watts, so the power should be sufficient. Just got it today, and tried it on a little of everything. Did powder ice cubes very well - looking forward to summer and some refresing drinks! Made muffin batter ok, had to spatula some batter from the corners, but it was easy to pour from the bowl into the muffin tin. And most importantly, the smoothie. I put in a quartered apple, a whole tomato, 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1 slice frozen avocado, and 2 cups of spinach and poured 1 cup water over the top. I pulsed it a few times, then just set on 3. It didn't seem to go as crazy as the healthmaster, and wasn't as loud, and I did have to take off the lid and push some of the greens from the sides back into the mix. But overall, quality is very similar, and actually, I think the smoothie stayed colder (the healthmaster claims it makes soups, the force created inside is thermal, so it might have warmed my smoothie too). I am used to blending up fruits and veggies whole, so any complaints about "chunks" might have been from people with different expectations. I expect emulsified fibrous fruit and veggies to end up "gritty" and that's what I got. Certainly not chunky, and could easily drink through a straw. So first impression is very good, now will just keep my fingers crossed that it is durable and will have a long lifetime.

I purchased the Ninja Blender system 1200 as an early birthday present for myself and I haven't been disappointed. I will say one thing though about the picture above...my Ninja system didn't come with the whisk attachment (the blade on the far left)...that is only included with the Ninja 1100 and the one sold in stores is the 1200. Still a great product but I wish it came with the whisk attachment AND a single serviing cup.

ChefGchased this system as a gift for my daughter and was excited, based on the reviews I read as well as the infomercials but I am not impressed. I tried to chop onions and celery for dressing and had to stop several times throughout the process to scrape down the veggies to make sure they chopped evenly; then I tried to puree cauliflower soup, the blender worked well at this task but was the same as our old Kitchen Aid processor. My third test was to make smoothies for the boys - the Ninja did not do as good a job as the Nutribullet so the Nutribullet stays. I makes great crushed ice though! And to think I almost bought the super system for myself. I think I will hold off on that purchase.

I am in love with my Ninja

I bought a small cheaper one the day after Thanksgiving last year. I am one of those people that start a diet, etc. and quit within a few weeks. I never used it for 6 months, then the day after our electric came back on (was off for 7 days after storm, and there was no ice to be bought anywhere for a week), i decided to open my Ninja and use it. I have been using it since, every day. I puree my fruits, mix them together in another container, then crush my ice like snow, add the fruit back in with juice and splenda, and make the most amazing iciees. I started drinking these all day long, and cut out almost all of my soda. I am absolutely happy with mine, so I asked for the biggest one, the 1200 for Christmas. I am so excited to use the bigger system. I love to blend different fruits together, like Honey dew and pineapple, and unfiltered unsweetened apple juice with splenda, OMG. IT is so amazing. Peaches and honeydew with VFusion light peach mango, or peaches and pineapple and VFusion. So amazing. the combos are unending. Very healthy and it is like cheating it is so good.
I would recommend this product to anyone, and I have. I have told so many people about the Ninja. I could be a spokesperson for this product.
As for the blades being dangerous, if you don't be careful with any blade, it will cut you. Hello. I cut myself on mine to, I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing.
this is a wonderful gift for the health nuts. I actually crave my combos, instead of soda now. Made me feel alot better.

Ninja Blender 1200

I just purchased a Ninja Blender 1200. Wow...I blended cake dough, chopped onions, chopped celery, chopped boiled eggs..cant wait to try more. My husband made his smoothie and loved it. I have HIGH respect for the blades. Yes, I got cut twice. Just barely touched them. I now hold them by the plastic and us a baby bottle brush to wash them. I will not touch the blades. They are extremely sharp. It is a great tool. Love my Ninja!

The Ninja is an amazing product. Yes, the blades are sharp, you must be very careful when handling the blades. This is not a toy, it is a professional piece of equipment that is a joy to use. It crushes ice, whips up smoothies in seconds, grates carrots, kneads dough. The list is endless. I haven't looked at my food processor, mix master or blender since getting my Ninja. Buy it, you will not be disappointed!

This a dangerous product. I cut my finger on the blade that I was drying with a cloth kitchen towel. Went to ER to get my finger glued. It is still healing after 2 weeks. It could have been worst. I can't see leaving it on the counter to dry. It is so sharp it would probably nick the granite! There is no need for such sharp blades. Also it is not really a food processor since it has no slicing or shredding blade. It is just a blender. It works great as a blender but it a dangerous item with a hard to remove lid which is made that way so the blade can't fly out and do damage. Again, dangerous and should be taken off market. It should be reported to the Consumer Products Safety Council in Washington. There is a 800 number to call and if people call they will recall it. I for one would like it recalled. I will not be using this product. It was a gift and I no longer have the box but if it recalled I would be able to return it. Maybe the manufacturer or store would take it back anyway

this is a great tool to have in your kitchen. I love all of attachments and the two different sizes for the canisters. This is a little loud, but I dont mind that, it is super powerful and gets the job done. Just make sure you have enough liquid to ice so things dont get jammed in the bottom. This can also make dough, cookies, all kinds of things you would not normally use a blender for. This is a great price for a definite workhorse for your kitchen. I would definitely recommend this.

My sister bought one of these while I was on vacation at her place. We needed to can jam and man oh man did it blend up those berries in no time flat. We also made syrup(squeezed out the seeds). I have a Magic Bullet and bought it for ALL the reasons in the TV add....I can only use it for smoothies :( . After trying the 5 cup Ninja Kitchen System, making chicken salad for sandwiches, with all the goodies, celery, onion, ect, it did the job. It did not liquefy my salad. I also showed my sister how to make it and she was pretty pleased! I WILL be purchasing the Ninja Kitchen System after I sell some of my unneeded items in my kitchen. This product does what I want! I am glad I was able to play around with it and know what it does!

I received this as a gift at my Bridal Shower and my fiance and I love it! So far, we have used it to make smoothies and it makes them quickly and efficiently! They taste great! I look forward to using the Ninja to make other things. It fits nicely on our kitchen counter. Be careful when cleaning the blades though, they are super sharp! Love this product! It does so many things in the kitchen!

I just bought the Ninja a week ago. I needed a blender that would blend kale celery and other greens to make my green smoothies. Looked around and saw that Vitamix and blendtech were to pricing. The Ninja works great. My smoothies are delicious. It is unbelieveable how well this blender makes these smoothies. So glad I did not spend the money on the other blenders. It is serving the purpose that I need it for. Oh last night a put chunks of frozen mango and some almond milk in the blender. Great mango milk shake. Great healthy treat.
