Horrible Product!

I have owned and enjoyed Hoover steam cleaners for over 20 years. I have always had atleast one inside dog along with children requiring fairly frequent carpet steaming. I have always found Hoover products to be superior to other cleaners until now. After being served well for many years by my prior Hoover steamer, it finally had to be replaced. I was shocked at the expense of this new machine, but, was looking forward to what must be greatly improved carpet cleaning technology. I was WRONG. The highly molded, thin plastic casing looked cheaply made because it was. I was hoping for better in the technology department. The scrubber heads broke within the first 20 minutes of use on flat carpet. I returmed the machine and waitied again for a replacement. I was able to make it to a second day of cleaning when the scubber heads (cheap plastic) broke again. I had to continue using the machine to extract the large amount of water left in the carpet, at which it did a fair job. The machine also does not heat the water. There is a heater that blows hot air over the carpets, which seems ideal, except, you cannot turn it off while using the hand held tools. While using the tools to clean an area on the stairs, the cleaner sat in one place blowing hot air and scortched the carpet. Needless to say, I am in the market for a new, non-Hoover cleaner. I gave the cleaner a "one" because "zero" wasn't an option.

Brushes broke twice

I had the brush drive replaced while the cleaner was still under warranty. Now six months later, it's broken again. I only use this machine on oriental rugs (very short pile) and it apparently can't take the stress. After three generations of Hoovers in my family, I am switching to Bissell!

This has to be the worst spin scrub I have ever had. The hand held brush is broken already after three months and that the tube part not the outside. The suction doesnt suck all the water out so it takes 2 days to dry.

Poor quality and cleaning ability

First of all, this system does NOT heat the water up, as implied on the packaging where it says "forced heat." You must supply the hot water to your machine from your tap. Also, the spinning brushes did not work initially on my product, which is a pretty common problem. I am afraid to go near my carpet with this machine because the suction is terrible, and I am afraid it would leave my carpet a sopping wet mess. The Max Extract left my tile and grout very wet with some puddling even after mutiple drying "sweeps." I am beyond disappointed with this product. I want something with heat and quick drying capabilties. I would advise you to keep shopping.
