Good for pet owners

I've had this vac for only a few days but have used it twice. We have 2 very hairy, large breed dogs and hardwood floors. I was looking for a light weight vac to use instead of pulling out the Dyson every day. After reading lots of reviews about this one, I thought I'd give it a try.
So far, so good!! It picks up the dog hair like a dream! If I want to vac the thin kitchen rugs, I have to go over it a couple of times- the plush area rug- forget it, dog beds- don't even try it. This was made for bare floors- not carpet. If you use it on bare floors, you will be very pleased!
It is light weight, easy to use and easy to dump.
Dog owners, rejoyce!!

This vacuum doesn't have much power. Mine only lasted a year and now it won't hold a charge. I am very disappointed in this product, wish I wouldn't of bought it.

Love this Vacuum

I purchased this vac because it was cordless! I have a good canister vacuum for weekly cleaning, but wanted something light and cordless so I could vac my new plush carpet and hard floors daily. We have a raised ranch and I knew if it was a hassle, I wouldn't do it. I have had this vac for 6 months and use it almost every day!! I am still amazed at how much it picks up! I think those that are having trouble with it are not emptying and cleaning the filter enough. There are only two adults in our home (other than grandbaby visits) and I found that the filter is pretty clogged after every use. Proof positive that it is doing its job!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE how light it is, no cords, swivel head and powerful! I love that it works on both plush carpet and hard floors. I love that it is orange!!

Not for the long haul!!

I purchased one of these as I thought, how great, it's rechargeable!! Well, only for a few months did it hold a charge. I asked the person who owns the business where I bought it if the company sells replacement batteries. I was told that it is impossible to get a replacement battery and you would have to destroy the plastic case to get to it.
I replaced this one with a rechargeable stick vac made called Shark Vac. The Shark Vac is far superior to the Electrolux and has much more power. You can remove the battery and charge it up with the battery holder and cord on your counter. You don't need an outlet in your cleaning closet!!

Electrolux Ergorapido Ion Vacuum Stick

The vaccum is 18 volts and uses a lithium ion battery! That makes the vacuum lighter, more powerful, charges quicker, stays charged longer and will last longer. I have been using the vacuum for 2 months and love it. It has become my main vacuum as I have 90% hard surface floors. It's worth the extra bucks to upgrade to this one over the cheapies being sold in stores! Easy to empty, led light on the front, and the removeable handheld dustbuster make this one a winner!

Horrible Vacuum

This vacuum is a total waist of money. The battery lasts for less then 10min, every time I use it I have to take it apart to clean it, and even after I clean it the vacuum doesn't have enough power to spin the bristles. If you are thinking about buying any of the electrolux vacuums, DON'T, you mine a well throw your money in the garbage.
