This waffle maker is AMAZING! I bought it because of the wats of power it has to make a hot good crisp belgian waffle. I have tried many other waffle makers and they just dont work right and will not make a good waffle. The ability to rotate the waffle upside down to allow for cooking both sides is amazing and this is worth every penny! the first waffle I made using the machine was perfect. I would highly recommend this waffle maker to any one who is in the market for a great piece of kitchen ware.

I took the time to set up an account JUST to review this product. We got this waffle maker as a wedding gift and it is WONDERFUL!! Worth every penny! It cooks waffles perfectly, and the measuring cup that comes with it lets you add the perfect ammount of batter so as to not overflow it. The waffles never stick and come out thick and perfect every time. This was our favorite wedding present, definitely would recommend this to anyone!!

After reading several reviews on several waffle irons I elected to purchase this model because the reviews were very positive and the handle was easy enough to use and large enough. I agree with the comment that under the iron there is a pan with a seam that could make clean up difficult after spillage. That is easily solved as that surface below happens to be the same size as a full sized paper plate. I place the paper plate under the suspended iron and allow the overflow to simply drip to the plate. After I"m done I just pitch the plate - this clean up is easy. As to the iron - it works well, with a crisp product and soft center. The two basic recipes in the instruction book work well; I havent tried the others yet. For those who like waffles, this is a good buy that works well.

My husband and I registered for this and received it as a wedding gift... I couldn't believe how easy it was to use and how perfect our waffles turned out on the first try! They were just like restaurant waffles! We have used it many times since then and you can beat the fact that it makes 2 at a time so there's virtually no wait! I highly recommend spending the money if you make waffles often.

First of all, I tried 3 or 4 well-respected brands and models before this one.

This unit can be carried *easily* because the baking assembly locks in place, unlike the over-priced KAid unit which does *not* lock in place.

This unit has a level locking position for the rotating baking assembly, unlike the over-priced KAid which does *not* lock in place in a level position.

Only one dial to use, so you don't have to experiment w/ a myriad of combinations of time/temp to find the sweet spot like other units. Some may appreciate the extra control of separate time/temp dial but my opinion for this model is that it's definitely not needed.

The non-stick coating is in tact and the coverage is consistent, unlike the Caf $100 unit which had a couple spots where the coating was either flaking off, not adhered to the unit or simply was not applied correctly at the factory. I certainly don't feel like eating non-stick coating material.

Handle is not obtrusive like other flippy waffle makers.

Very easy to use as long as you prep it that first time after buying unit like instrux indicate.

There's always something wrong with everything. Except for my wife. She's perfect in every way. This unit has one annoying flaw in particular. On those rare occasions where you overflow the batter and the batter drips onto the frame's plate... that plate cannot be removed, yet it has a crack all the way around it that allows batter to creep into. Cleaning that crack is ridiculous. I'm not sure I understand the point of that metal plate because, I took the panel off on the underside to get access to that plate and found a couple wires actually soldered to that metal plate. WT???

Frame is plastic, not metal.

Overall review- other than the crack around the metal plate where batter can creep in, this waffle maker is the best waffle maker you can find and definitely beats out the KAid $200 unit and the Caf $100 unit.

This waffle maker is worth the money!!!
It cooks waffles perfect...it has a nonstick surface so the waffles never stick....AND it makes 2 at a time. It's the perfect waffle maker...and I compared alot before I chose this one. DEFINITELY worth the money.
Waffles come out big and fluffy....my kid loves them!!!!

I read most of the reviews on amazon and bed bath and beyond and was sold. I use Carbons Golden Malted Pancake and Waffle flour with milk instead of water and MMmMMM waffles are golden brown and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside!! The fact that it makes two at one time is AWESOME. It comes with a little cup and figured out that if I fill the batter right up to the text on the cup its the perfect amount and doesn't overflow. I did not use cooking spray or oil to coat the plates because its nonstick and frankly doesn't need all that stuff. The waffles come out whole and don't stick what-so-ever. We have ours set to 4.5. You can control the browning with the temperature controls from 1-6 and found that 4.5 is perfect for us. Highly recommend!!

This waffle iron is amazing! It is so easy to use and clean. I love that I can make two waffles at once, so my husband and I can both have warm waffles at the same time! It has a built-in timer so you don't have to keep track of which waffle is done. The batter cup that comes with the iron won't quite make a full waffle, but if you put in too much batter the waffle will pop the iron open and you'll have to hold it shut.

I love my new waffle maker. Its great for my family of four...it cuts the time in half. no need to guess when your waffles are done with the beeper. I made two for my husband and myself and i was only able to eat just one. My son had one waffle and he couldnt eat it all. The waffle came out fluffy. I kept the temp on 3 1/2.

This would be a great wedding gift.

I purchased this for myself a while ago and never used it until the other day. We had a morning holiday waffle bar at work, and this Waring product was a huge hit! Absolutely perfect waffles, super easy to use, and it even came with a measuring cup. I had it on "3" for the shade control and we had perfectly golden, crisp waffles. Quick to heat up, and even quicker cooking times. Even though it is large, it is not heavy or cumbersome. It is made well too. A+++ in my book.
