Its extra wide 1 1/2" slots will accept the thickest foods. The extra deep, steel toasting cavity ensures even browning, and the racks automatically adjust the slot width for thick or thin slices which keeps food upright while toasting. You can select the bagel function to reduce the power on one side of the heating elements by up to 50% so it will gently brown the bottom of the bagel while toasting the side that's sliced.
