Best smoothie blender

I bought the blender to make daily smoothies with. My regular blender was such a chore and way too big for what I wanted. I had used a Bullet in the past and that was useless. The Cuisinart is worth every penny. What a dream. Put all the ingredients in the to go cup, blend, and you are off and running. I have used mine every day for the last month. That's how easy it is. And it takes up so little space on the counter and in the cupboard. Loving it!

If they could put a 1000 watt motor in it like the Ninja, this system would be a perfect example of demolition!
We tried to use it for smoothies and milkshakes, but any small amount of pressure would stop or stall the blender and yes, I did use the pulse recommendation for ice.
Pros:
Great looks
Lightweight
Space Saving/Small footprint
Cons:
Motor needs to be upgraded!!! (Perfect, if fixed!)
Plastic fogged and looked terrible.
Can't handle anything other than soft fruits
I wanted so badly to keep this combination of looks and convenience, but the performance was so terrible it just had to go back.
Take note Cuisinart... product quality is declining steadily, try to upgrade your product and for the love of Pete, get your customer service upgraded! I'd buy more of your products if I could get great customer service.

I love this blender. It's super easy and convenient to use. I've had this over a year and it works great at making smoothies and grinding small food items. It has pretty much replaced my regular blender as its right on my counter. It looks good too! Looking forward to using it for preparing baby food. So far I have definitely gotten my money's worth.

Just returned it after 2 months, with a burned out motor. My wife and I used it 3 to 4 times a week each to make morning smoothies. After a bout a month the motor would intermittently change speeds on occasion while using. Then it started to perform noticeably slower, and finally nothing.
The 4 cups were nice to have, and sized just right. Although the travel lids fit poorly.
We decided to upgrade to the Ninja, which has a motor about 3 times more powerful, and similar sized cups with better lids, but only 2 cups.
The Ninja locks the cups in place, while the Cuisinart would start shacking and knock the cup off if it wasn't held in place.

I use this blender at work for my morning protein smoothies. I have owned it more than a year and it works great. It is not intended to be a heavy duty blender. For that get the larger model with glass container and more powerful motor.
I am getting one soon for home for my smoothies only!

I had the magic bullet and it died after a year then tried this one. I used it to grind coffee beans and other creams. It was used everyday to make smoothies. 10 month after purchasing it has died. Of course no receipt. From what I have read on other websites and reviews this machine is not for everyday use. I am now on my search for another but will be looking for something that can handle everyday use.

Love the Compact Cuisinart AND my Magic Bullet !!!

Love both my MB and CPB300 mini-blenders for different reasons. I can use both blenders at the same time and I don't prefer one over the other because each has a different function for me and the two together sit on the counter under one cosie cover. I use them all the time for scrambling eggs, mixing drinks, whipping heavy cream, making salsa, chopping nuts, grinding coffee beans, flax seeds, or salba seeds. Any recipe goes faster with these mini-blenders and I don't have to use a big heavy glass blender anymore. Have had my MB for 4 years and the CPB300 (bought refurbished) for about 4 months. Can't say either machine is my favorite because I love both of them. One thing I like is the bigger 32-oz blender cup with the CPB.300. Both machines have too many accessories I don't use. I only like the blender cups and blades and have discarded all the travel cups and lids which are nice but I simply don't need them. The CPB300 has very sharp blades. The MB chopper cup is easier to clean than the CPB300 chopper cup which is too narrow for my hand. There are pros and cons with every appliance and CPB300 is no different. These are smaller machines and need to be used with common sense and not run the motor too long and hard. With gentle care these little blenders can last a very long time and be a very useful cooking tool.

Like many others, I came to BB&B looking for a Magic Bullet, Ninja, or Bella Cucina rocket. Given the reviews, I chose the Cuisinart instead and LOVE IT!! It comes with two different blades, one of which chops nuts, grinds oats into flour, etc. perfectly! It has an extremely powerful engine, multiple mixing cups (4 tall and 1 short) and an extra gasket.... Plus a recipe book! Terrific and worth every penny.

I have gotten my money's worth and more!

I recently went to B3 to purchase either the Bullet or the Ninja and spotted Cuisinart's version of a compact, high-speed blender. (I purchased the Cuisinart Soup Maker last November and threw out my old blender before realizing the Soup Maker does nothing for crushing ice and should not be considered an all-purpose blender, although it does have a HUGE capacity and is great for blending soft foods.) I own the Griddler, the Cuisinart hand mixer set and the Cuisinart stick blender so the choice was pretty easy for me to opt for their version of this kitchen gadget as well and I am absolutely loving it! The most frequent complaints I see here in reviews can be avoided by using the "PULSE" option on the lower speed when breaking up ice or frozen fruit - which is not different from any other blender. I make smoothies for dessert for my son many times a week and the compact size is so convenient - I simply rinse the blade and cup immediately after use before any food sticks and place in the drainer to dry for use the next day making clean-up a snap without taking up my entire drying rack like a standard blender cup. The chopper blade is great as well - we have been making banana "ice cream" by freezing banana discs and pureeing them with a bit of coconut or almond mild and adding chopped fruit and agave for additional flavor. The chopper is powerful enough that I was able to grind dried Rosemary for my sister who's husband hates when she uses the "needles" and sent it to her from FL to Minnesota - even across the country my family is able to enjoy! Love love love this product - have gotten my money's worth and more!

So far I've had this for 2 months. Not much to complain about. It's powerful; easy to use since there are only 3 buttons. I highly suggest for anyone wanting to extend the life of any electric appliance to please FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. Another helpful tip: if you want a quicker blend, add a little water right after you add your frozen fruit & veggies and then swish it around for several seconds with the lid on before adding more items. It helps thaw them out. Don't worry, your smoothie will still be ice cold and thick as long as you don't use too much water.

I expected more from Cuisinart! I purchased this in November and the price and the name coupled with the rebate was the reason I purchased. I have seen my son blow through two Magic Bullets and wanted something that would LAST. From the beginning it made noises while I made our shakes as well as having a burning odor. Two weeks ago it stopped completely. So much for a name brand.

Love this thing - it chops and blends everything! I've had no problem with ice, or frozen fruit. Works great for our daily green smoothy - incorporates every last bit of green and fruit we put in it.

Awesome System

My husband and I absolutely love this blender system!!! We have had it for two months, and use it one or two times every day. We went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to buy a Magic Bullet, and saw the Cuisinart system. The blades were much sharper on the Cuisinart than on the Bullet or any of the other similar systems that we saw. My husband also felt that it had a heavier motor and would be more durable and last longer. Plus, the larger blender cup and mini-prep chop/grind jar were extra bonuses. Unfortunately we barely missed the rebate dates, but we felt it was worth the extra money to get the Cuisinart system, so we got it instead of the Bullet. It makes perfect smoothies, with no chunks of ice left, in a few seconds. You only need to put about 1 1/2 inches of crushed ice in the bottom and fill the rest with your smoothie items and water to get a nice, thick smoothie. I pulse it on low 3 or 4 times, then on high 4 times, and I get a perfect smoothie every time. (If using frozen fruit, I probably wouldn't use any ice at all, or very little.) It's also a lot easier to clean than regular blenders. I just put a little soap and some water in the cup, screw the blade back on, shake it a few times, then scrub it a little with a bottle brush, and it's done. There's no need to dirty a different glass to drink out of. The blender cup is already filled with the smoothie, so it is the only thing that has to be washed. We haven't used our big, heavy blender since we purchased this. I highly recommend this system.

Great for smoothies

I use this for making my morning smoothies. It came with 5 different cups that are perfect for single use. I usually add the milk, yogurt, spinach, and carrots first, blend those up, then take it off and add whey protein powder, peanut butter, the banana, and some flax seed. If I just put them all in at once they don't get blended up very well, but the extra step doesn't take long. I highly recommend this affordable product.
Pros: great size for single use, can handle crushing ice cubes and frozen fruits, lids come with opening for straw
Cons: very loud. but it's a blender. what can you expect?
I havent had it for longer than 3 months so i cant speak to longevity.

My husband and I wanted something other than the big blender to make smoothies and milkshakes. The various cups (and the lids) made this more attractive than the Bullet and I am so happy with this applicance!! It took a few tries to get the right mix of ingredients so the blender didn't freeze up (we use frozen fruit a lot, and need to add more liquid) and haven't figured out how to just crush ice, but this is def worth every cent. Just wonder if BBB offers replacement rubber rings for it, I already broke one when I went to clean out the blade. Overall, this is HIGHLY recommended and already got my sister to get one too!!!

I have been looking for a blender for protein shakes. This blender is perfect. Shakes can be made directly into drinking cups. Cleanup is a cinch.....simply put clean water in the cup and blend on high for a few seconds and rinse. I had a Magic Bullet before and the rubber sealer came off and got chewed up while blending. The Cuisinart is small enough to take while traveling. Highly recommend.

I have been searching low and high for a blender that I can use for fruit smoothies or shakes that is durable, yet a reasonable price. This product, though more expensive than Hamilton Beach products is unbelievable!! It crushes ice to snow cone texture in seconds! The to go cups are soooo easy and convenient and make for great clean up. All in all, I cant recommend this enough!
To save some cash, use the 20% off coupon plus ask for the $20 rebate that comes with it.

I absolutely LOVE this blender! I've been using it every morning since it arrived (about 1 month ago) to make frozen fruit smoothies and shakes for myself and my husband. The travel cups are so convenient and easy to use. The blending blade works wonders... it quickly and evenly blends ice and frozen fruits in seconds without that burnt rubber smell you get from so many other blenders. I haven't used the chopping blade yet, but judging by the blending blade I'm sure it will work great.
