I did not expect much. I picked this unit because it was cheaper than the Crosley models. I have a cheap ION turntable that connects via USB. It does work but I wanted something more direct. As soon as I unpacked it I hated it. The turntable just "sits" in it's cutout, does not appear to be secured. There were new instructions super ceding the useless booklet that comes withe the unit. (Such tedious instructions with nothing about cassette recording). The sound was far worse than I expected. The "volume" control was not calibrated correctly. You had to keep spinning it to attain volume. Quality of sound was horrid. I had a suitcase portable stereo 40 years ago that sounded a ton better. Never tried the recording feature because the tone arm could not track most of the records I played. I decided to total up all the LP's and 45's I wanted to record, found them on I tunes and did it that way. Perfect sound and the total cost was much less than this piece of junk. I don't understand why Bed, Bath and Beyond would sell this. Avoid this piece of useless junk at all costs.

Our primary reason for purchasing this item was to transfer cassette tapes to CD. So far it's not that great. Some of the CDs we've created are garbled and must be redone. I've started recording to a RW CD then taking it to the computer to play before recording it to CD that can be played anywhere. Much more cumbersome than we anticipated. If we continue to have problems, we will be returning the item for a refund.

Absolutely inconsistent and useless as a player and cd recorder. Tape player hangs up. Phono arm bounces back and forth at end of record rather than stopping. CD recording show up as disc failures on other players.
BBandB should save its reputation and drop product.
ITV does not answer customer calls and website is to sell more.

Unfortunately I am disappointed with this music center. The sound is tinny and the turntable spins too fast causing the music to play faster than originally recorded (yes, I had it on the correct speed setting). I was surprised that there was no bass or treble button. It appears that I need to spend more to get more so I'm packing this up and returning it to BBB.

At nearly 60 years old I've amassed a lot of music and in a lot of media. With this device I can convert the older analog signal to digital and record all my oldies onto cd's
It's amazing how you hear "more" of the music than on the older record players or cassette players. Playing the converted music in my Bose system makes for a new music experience.
