A real disappointment.

I was curious to see if the Bunn coffeemaker made the coffee as good as some of the reviews said. The coffeemaker was very large and took up a lot of counter space, which I did not like. I made a pot, and the first cup of coffee was Heaven! It lived up to every expectation, so I thought it was worth it. However, when I went to pour a second cup only 10 minutes later, it was awful - too strong and had a burnt taste. I took it back that very day, and thanks to B,B & B's excellent return policy, I was able to get a refund.

Great tasting coffee

Bought this unit to replace my old Bunn coffee brewer that met it's demise due to use of tap water. I pledge to only use filtered water from now on with Phase Brew. I have used this unit for 8 months and have enjoyed many cups of great tasting coffee. No mechanical problems thus far. One small complaint is the water level indicator window is almost opaque and nearly impossible for me to see how much water is being poured directly into the brewer. I have to measure the water in the carafe first, then pour from the carafe into the brewer. Not a big deal, but an extra step. Also, brewer is tall and sits on counter top under upper cabinet. I stuck some felt pads on the bottom of brewer so I could easily slide in and out over counter top to access water reservoir lid. Overall, I am very satisfied with purchase.

At first i liked the idea of water heating all at once and then drop... bought this a year ago and after a few months got the CLE message means clean, tried and it did not work , the machine did not heat the water anymore , called BUNN , they told me to try it again and if not send back which i did and send back , received my new one and this one broke last week , it is frustrating why a coffee maker should last only a few short months ? i may go with another brand as i am tired of this coffee maker , concept was good BUT they couldn't do it RIGHT ..

New Carafe and no more dribble

I previously wrote that the only thing holding this item back from a 5 star is the fact that the carafe was equivalent to a dribble glass.

Well, it now gets a 5 star from me. Bunn graciously sent me a new carafe and even though it looks exactly the same . . . no more dribble !

Great coffee but leaky carafe

Pros: The coffee is awesome! Best coffee we have had in ages. It also brews very quickly. I can start the water heating while I am still grinding my beans. I hope to never go back to the old drip brew again!

Con: The carafe is a freaking dribble glass. It is almost impossible to pour the water into the maker or coffee into your cup without water/coffee dribbling big time all over the counter. This CON is the only thing holding back the 5th star.

I had been looking to replace my old Bunn, and found this one online. I read the reviews about it stopping after a few months, but took the chance. Boy am I glad I did.
It works like clockwork, and brews a fantastic pot of coffee. I also love the timer feature on this, since it is not an instant brew like the old Bunn maker.

I really like this coffee maker but after reading the reviews am afraid of problems down the road. A lot of reviews are saying that after a month - 3 months the maker quits working. It's an awesome design and makes awesome coffee. Also a very easy machine to clean. Really love it so far..

Most of the reviews I read were not very good, but I took a chance because I liked the way this coffee pot looked. Alot of the time the coffee taste like plastic and as the reviews said one day, after 3 months it just quit working. Thank you to Bed Bath and Beyond, returned item to store and purchased a different brand that I LOVE! Sorry Bunn, Just a very bad experience.

I'm not one for writing reviews but when I finally got my Bunn coffee maker the other day and have been able to enjoy a few days of using it, I had to write a review. This is by far my favorite coffee maker. I'm a huge coffee drinker, sometimes drinking it all day. I drink my coffee black so a good tasting cup is important to me and this one makes the best cup I've been able to enjoy in a long time! Now granted I have only had it for a few days but I'm sure with the proper care I can keep this maker going for a long time. I have a few friends and family who kept telling me to get a Bunn...i'm so happy I finally listened to them. If a good cup of coffee is important to you, than I highly suggest you purchase this one.

AWESOME home brew

I took a chance with the negative reviewers saying it would stop working, etc. I had tried others like Mr Coffee thermal carafe and Krups thermal but they weren't hot enough. This is extremely hot coffee (although I chose to get the glass carafe this time with a heating element), which is a must, and it is brewed at just the right temp to make it supurb tasting and not bitter. I LOVE this coffeemaker for other reasons than just flavor. It doesn't take 10 min to brew if I'm just brewing 4-6 cups. I love the auto feature so I can wake up to smelling the great aroma and pouring a cup as I get up. It truly gives a great aroma! The taste is the best I've had, and I used to own a Cuisinart but this is better. It's all metal including the spray head and the filter. The Mr Coffee was plastic and tasted of plastic--yuck! I've used it for 4 months now and not a single issue.

If you are after a really good cup of coffee in your home, buy this one. The coffee is hot, and taste good! it actually boils the water and that is what takes the extra time, but it sure is worth the 6-7 min. wait. I have not had any problems at all. I think Bunn corrected all the past issues, We use a good columbian coffee and grind it fresh each time. We find it is better by using slightly more coffee to get that dark rich flavor. My husband and I find there is no wasted coffee anymore, we drink every last drop! we would recommend this Bunn to everyone.

Great at first and then quits working

We got this for a wedding gift. It worked great for the first 2 months and then quit. It just would not brew. We saved our gift receipt and took back to BBE and got a new one sent. The new one quit after one month. We brewed a pot and started a second. It quit just like the first time.

My family have always used Bunn for as long as I can remember. But, this model is a bust. It worked great at first, but then stopped after a few months. The water won't heat, therefore it won't brew. So disappointed. I'm hoping I can send it back.

Best cup of coffee ever -- CONSISTENTLY

I had 2 velocity brew coffeemakers prior to buying the phase brew. I LOVE this phase brew. Didn't expect to like it as much as velocity since I was used to fast coffee but the flavor (Bunn got it right) is even better. I read all the reviews about the pot leaking -- it does. Very poor design on the lid.) Even with the pot design issue, I still gave it 5 stars because when I called Bunn they immediately sent another pot. It leaks worse than the first. But, I still give it 5 stars because the brew is perfect -- perfect temperature and perfect cup of coffee. Hopefully, they will keep the pot (by the way I love the metal coffee holder). So very much better than the plastic ones on the velocity brew and other coffeemakers. I think this may be why the coffee is better -- not pouring through plastic. I hope they keep this model (improve the pot of course) but change nothing else.

Machine breaks, major product flaws

We've gone through 2 of these in less than 3 months; both broke due to product flaws. The first one lasted less than 3 weeks before the heating plate stopped working, which is a major product flaw the company supposedly fixed, but didn't. We took it back and exchanged it for the same model, hoping all the horrible reviews we found on Google were wrong, and that this time the machine would last. Well, it didn't. A month later, it is now making zapping electrical noises, and the heating plate WON'T TURN OFF, even when you turn off the power--we have to unplug it. Major fire hazard! Trust me, stay away from this model!!! So unfortunate as the coffee making ability really is great. Shame on you, Bunn.
