HANDSOME IN BLACK, QUIET, COMPACT SIZE

My old loud juicer motor died, plus it was a mess to use with bits and pieces of produce pulp flying out the pulp container and spit from the top chute, so I thought ALL juicers did the same thing. But gotta say for the price, this Jack LaLanne Express juicer surprised me.

It takes a lot less room, the black color is handsome and doesn't show the usual produce stains, a plastic bag in the pulp container keeps it clean so doesn't need washing, so that just leaves the plunger, cover top, and blade basket to rinse.

The real surprise was the much quieter motor. There's apparently a lifetime(?) motor guarantee too.

I made a lot of mistakes with my old juicer like putting too much force pushing down on the plunger and not learning about using a plastic bag liner in the pulp catcher. I learned a lot from the Jack LaLanne online videos and the included booklets on how to care for this Express model which I think is the best and easiest of the LaLanne models to use. The design has a more streamlined blade basket which is easy to clean with a small dish brush.

Centrifugal juicers don't juice leafy veggies but I roll up leafy greens inside stiff cabbage leaves before sending them down the feed tube and manage to get a little green juice this way. Carrot pulp comes out dry so I'm getting good juicing from the machine. Juicier fruit like cantaloupe comes out with a wetter pulp and is expected. So all in all, I'm pretty satisfied with this machine. Grapes and apples do very well in it.
