I've owned this cookware for almost 10 years. It's amazing how well it performs! Excellent quality, quick and even heating, incredibly easy clean-up (IF you allow the pans to cool first and use Bar Keeper's Friend)!

Because these pans distribute heat so well, you'll find your cooking skills improving because the subtle dishes which require more precise temperature control are easier to accomplish!

There's nothing these pans won't handle.

After reviewing many sets of cookware. This fit the bill. As a tri-clad product, it heats up uniformly and holds the heat. There is no teflon to scratch or ruin and items slid right off of the surface. Great product for just a little more money than the cost of far inferior sets. Company also has a great reputation.

VERY Comparable to the "ALL" Brand

I have poured through countless reviews, blogs, and websites to narrow down the options for a new cookware set. I had the Calph Contemporary 12 pc set, had warping problems, returned to BBB. Tried Unison, did not like how every place my nylon flipper was, could be traced on the interior sear finish. I do note that after hand wash/dry, marking was less noticeable. Had 4 days, and returned to BBB. By this time, I clearly was disappointed in Calphalon but, Tri-ply line may have turned me around. The All Clad stainless is super awesome, cannot dispute quality issue at all. I even purchased a steeply discounted but, strangely configured 10 pc set at high end Dept store for less than Tri-ply. Tested 10" inch skillets from both lines, timing, checking heat, etc., on my glass top stove. I tested chicken breast and fried eggs. Both pans heated well, sat evenly on my stove, released food easily, cleaned up very well. Major difference was All-Clad did heat a little faster but, not so much faster to warrant a $250 difference. Since price was not a factor given the All Clad set was only $272, the biggest determining factor is the handles. All-Clad, if you are listening, the handles need a redesign! They are not comfortable in the least. The Calph Tri-ply handles are super ergonomic. The Calph pan handled well, maybe a little heavier feel. Most of all, this 13 pc set gives a lot of options on pan sizes which would cost a whole lot more to buy All-Clad then add open stock to match the amount and sizes in the Calphalon Tri-ply 13 pc set. So, returning the very odd All Clad set (what was shown on box crossed off and a new computer label showing what was in box covering the bar code?) I will be buying the Calphalon Tri-ply and hoping at last to have a long lasting set for my busy , rough and tumble, kitchen.

Calphalon Makes Me Feel Like a Top Chef

My wonderful hubby went to BB&B to get me a covered skillet to replace my Calphalon One that was ruined by my dear grandmother. Well, he came home with the skillet and the 13 pc set and the free Calphalon Unison Everyday pan. That was 4 days ago, and I haven't stopped cooking yet! I even cancelled my birthday dinner reservations so I could cook it myself! My omelets turned out perfect; I seared a buffalo roast and it was perfectly brown; and my sear-roasted chicken was AH-MAZING...I even made a lemon butter pan sauce with it.

We are so happy we upgraded to the tri-ply stainless! My only concern was the slight discoloration after the first use....not bad, but it didn't effect the performance at all. The pans give me the capability of trying so many recipes and cooking techniques that I have drooled over for years. This is one happy momma!!!

After reading all the reviews, I made a purchase of the Calphalon 13 piece Stainless Steel cookware set . I didn't want the non-stick because I didn't want to have to replace it later. I got the 'classic' straight sided ones, they are beautiful---a work of art really. I have paid attention to the care of this product and they perform wonderfully. I never thought I could afford Calphalon but when I read online that I could get them at Bed Bath and Beyond using the 20% off coupon I jumped on it. I even got a bonus of a free pot---I felt like it was Christmas! I have had this cookware set for three years now and want to say how happy I still am with them! I LOVE them! It's still exciting to use them even years later. What more could you want?!! Thank you so much, I am a very happy customer!! If you are even thinking about it...even with the cost---do it! I bought this set to replace my beloved 30+ year old set of Revere Ware. I couldn't be happier! Yes, a bit heavy but that's to be expected with Tri-Ply and not a problem at all for me. They clean up beautifully and easily. Cooking is very even, lids fit snuggly. The lids do "click" a bit as they cool down after use due to expanding while hot - no need for alarm.
I did purchase separately the 1 Quart saucepan to round out my set.
I highly recommend this set to any home cook - you won't regret it.

I got these for my wedding and they were so great that I actually went out and bought them again when my wife divorced me! LOL! No lie. This was the first purchase I made for my new bachelor pad since I was always the cook. Very sturdy, heavy pots that conduct heat evenly. I highly recommend using a Dobie pad to clean them. Barkeeper's is good too but not necessary if you just let the pan soak in dish soap and water right after cooking--mess slides off nice with simple Dobie scrub with soap and water. Ditched the wife but kept the pots and pans!

We bought a new stove so we decided to upgrade our cookware. I researched for several weeks, professional style cookware that's worth the investment, without spending thousands. My sister has these pans and adores them. They are in my wedding registry and I am anxiously hoping we receive them. I can not speak from direct experience yet, but Tri-Ply and Contemporary stainless pans made after 2010 are induction capable as stated on Calphalon's website. They must have switched to magnetic stainless steel necessary for induction cooking, and they now contain the induction symbol on the bottom. With this addition, these pans should be a versatile set that will last for years to come.

I've had 8 of these tri-ply stainless pieces for about 5 years and have always loved them on my traditional electric stove. We recently upgraded to an induction stove, but before doing so, I went to Calphalon's website to verify that these pans were induction compatible, it said they were, and I even called customer service to verify it ... I'm now buying a new set of LeCreuset cookware - I can't step down to lower quality cookware, so I'm going up. I would still highly recommend these pans especially to someone using gas.

I received this cookware for Christmas and have been cooking everyday since then. Love them! Prior to receiving this set, I did not cook regularly so it is taking some practice on how to cook with less heat. I am amazed to turn meats over and find all the filets evenly golden on the entire side. No more warped pans!

I recommend reading the care and use instructions before using the set for the first time. Follow the instructions and you shouldn't have a problem. Cleanup immediately after the pans are cooled and they will stay looking beautiful. This is, by far, the best gift I have ever received!
