Wasteful!

I agree with previous reviews:
-Spout drips when it's closed
-Lid has a corner that is inpossible to clean out
-The pulp even gets down into the locking handle which cannot be cleaned out
-it cannot "juice" kale or spinach or anything leafy. it just shredded & sprayed all over inside. The lid looked like the underneath carriage of my lawnmower. I wasted an entire large bag of kale and did not even result in a shot gladd full of juice. And sopping wet apple pulp everywhere, everywhere.
I purchased this on Saturday, tried it on Sunday and now on Monday I am exchanging it for the Ninja.

I love this Juicer!

I am on my 6th day of using this juicer EVERY day and I'm very pleased. I've never owned a juicer before, so I can't really compare it to others. But I have found it to be very easy to use. Cleans up easily--I just use a spatula to scrape any add'l pulp into the pulp container. Then it easily comes apart and EVERYTHING other than the motor goes in the dishwasher. All of the residue won't come off the screen in the dishwasher, but I didn't expect it to. I then use the brush (came with the juicer) to get the rest off. All of the other parts came out clean in the dishwasher.

Been searching for weeks when I came across this one. Light, simple to use, easy clean up and fun to use! Comes with some great starter recipes to use with a great guide book on the nutrients of fruits and veges. Pleasing to the eye and looks nice on counter tops. The best part of it for me is that I will now eat more veges that I would not normally eat due to having to cook them or find a recipe for them now I can just DRINK THEM!!

Awesome juicer!!!!!!

I was skeptical at first due to the other negative reviews, but I am quite happy with this juicer. It really got a lot of juice out when using the proper speed settings. I'm not sure why others felt it left behind a lot of juice because the pulp I had leftover looked like sawdust and was nearly as dry. I love the fact that it has different speed settings to optimize juice output. The motor is very powerful and has been able to handle everything I've thrown at it. Cleanup was incredibly easy, all of the parts that came into contact with juice or pulp are easily removable, so cleanup took all of 2 minutes. Overall, I am extremely happy with my new Cuisinart, and I would highly recommend it to others.

Not As I Expected!

This was our first try with a juicer....I decided on this higher end juicer on recommendation from a store employee. I DO like the quietness and ability ot take it all apart and clean it with relative ease...which leads me to the first flaw!!! Pulp is slung all around the basket and up on the top and hardly goes into the pulp container. Pulp remaines very wet despite proper settings according to softness. I feel like it doesnt do a good job extracting all of the available juice and a PAIN to clean!!! I will be returning this one for one that does a better job extracting juice and getting the pulp where it should go!

Sales Person Over Sold

I originally went to BBB to purchase a different juicer that they do not stock and the sales man convinced me that this juicer would be better because of the 1000 watt motor - plus it was in stock. I hadn't researched this model and took the leap of faith and wish I had not!
Pro:
This juicer is easy to set up, clean up, and comes with some delicious recipes.
Con:
This juicer does not do a great job at getting all the juice...or at least 3/4 the amount of juice that it could. The pulp is WET and gets bogged down after only a few fruits. You have to disassemble, wash, reassemble, and continue. I did juice the pulp that was left from a 20oz juice and got a good 8oz.
Overall, this has made my juicing experience difficult and I know I am wasting money on my produce not being juiced as much as it could be. I do not recommend this unit and will be returning mine tomorrow and getting the Breville Mutil-Speed Juicer on special order like I originally planned.

Exchanging for Jack Lalanne

This is my first Juicer. I had originally wanted the $200 Breville but due to stocking issues that wasn't in the cards.
ISSUES / NEGATIVES
- I literally saw juice dripping into the pulp bin, the pulp is damp or even wet which isn't right. Compared pulp with my friends Jack Lalanne and his was practically dry while mine is ready for swim lessons.
- Cleaning: Bulky parts that easily fills the drying rack. Design of clear plastic top doesn't make any sense for cleaning and it is molded with very small (hard to reach)
- The juice spout still drips after being closed
- Plastic Hinge doesn't feel very strong.
PROS
- The pitcher it comes with has a seperator that keeps the froth and small chunks separate so you can sort of filter the juice before it gets in the glass. Downside is that the pitcher is 3 pieces, more cleaning.
My friend just purchased the Jack Lalanne Power Juicer Pro (available at BBB as well) and the design is simpler. Looks easier to clean. Keep in mind that you'll spend more time cleaning the juicer than you do juicing, so to me that's a huge factor. The JLL doesn't have the bells & whistles such as variable speeds or pitcher, but looks like it's built for the long haul.

This item was awful. We used tons of veggies and fruits and hardly got any juice from it. We later learned it was a manufacturing flaw! We purchased the Omegamouth Juicer BMJ330 and it is MUCH better. So much more juice for so much less product. Do not waste your money on this one.

So, this is me and my wife's first juicer and so far it appears to work pretty well. We jam apples, cucumbers, oranges, and various other fruits and veggies through it without any issues. We have had it for a week, and are really putting it through the test.
Taking the unit apart is pretty simple and it washes clean pretty easily. I would say it takes about 5 to 10 minutes to hand wash it thoroughly.
Since its new, I will try to write back in a few weeks to see how it holds up. With all the previous negative feedback, I am getting a little nervous as to how it will hold up. We shall see....

The end of the pusher was being ground by the juicer and little pieces of plastic were in my juice. The screen got stuck and and when I removed it with force, the screen became bent. Do not waste your money.

not for frequent juicing

After 3 months of daily juicing the blades have lost about 90% of their original sharpness. I now find chunks of veggies and fruits in the pulp, including another approx. 25% juice in the pulp. Now I put the pulp back thru the juicer at least once or twice to extract what I did just 12 weeks prior. This adds another 5 mins to the already lengthy process of cleaning. If you're o.k. buying a new basket for new blades every 3 mos, go for it. If not, I recommend a masticating juicer...that's my next purchase.

I have had this juicer for one month. The center filter/blade piece comes loose from the base. It doesn't rotate properly. Now, I am finding large chunks of fruits and veggies in the waste container and I had to pass the produce through again. When I called Cuisinart regarding the problem, they said I should return it to the store, This is similar to other reviews. I'm returning it and buying a Breville!

Machine works great. Only complaint is when you turn the knob off... juice still creeps out! Other than that, no issues. Highly recommend this juicer, worth the investment

unhappy with Cuisinart

I noticed that several reviews compare masticating juicers like omega and champion with centrifugal juicers like Jack Lalanne and this Cuisinart one. To be clear, masticating juicers are always more efficient with juice extraction and pulp dryness, but they are also much more expensive, harder to use and harder to clean than a centrifugal system. It's like comparing apples to oranges.
I like the efficiency of this machine. It runs quieter than most, and is easy to clean.
Here's what I don't like about this machine:
My problem is that the filter vibrates out of place when you turn the machine off. I used it 4 times, and each time the filter lifted slightly higher. If it lifts now when it's new, what would it do over time? It has the potential to slip more and damage the cover, cause bodily harm, or just simply shorten the life of the machine. I contacted the manufacturer thinking (hoping) I had a defective machine. The response I got was that they tested several different units of this model and they all did the same thing. They did not try to sell me on the plausibility of continued use of this machine. Just the opposite in fact. Thee manufacturer told me my problem was an inherent design flaw and to take it back to the retailer for a refund immediately. How do you like that? That's exactly what I did. This machine works beautifully - until you turn it off. I wish they thought about design a little more.

Best of the in-stock brands

We bought this juicer a week ago and have been juicing in large batches 2-3 times per day. The motor impressed me as you can run whole apples through it without a problem. It does leave some juice in the pulp, but I was always told to run the pulp through again after you're done juicing and if you do that it works great. My only real problem has been the filter/juicer basket - it's gotten really difficult to install and remove from the juicer. Also I have noticed the screws holding it onto the base come loose and need to be tightened. Other than that, it's pretty much what I expected for a juicer at this price.

This is not the first time I have bought a juicer. My old juicer was the Omega 300 and is still better than the Cuisinart juicer. I'm going back to the Omega brand. If you buy this product check the pulp and you will notice a lot of the juice left in the pulp. You will waste a lot of in buying vegetables.
