I have been a fanatical diet coke drinker for years!! I had been interested in the SodaStream since I first heard about it, but was hesitant based on some things on the internet about the diet cola flavor! Unfortunately, I have a very bad back and have also been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis!!! I just could no longer carry the cases of diet coke and get the cans out for recycling so I finally broke down and bought this. I was pleasantly surprised with the taste of the diet cola. It doesnt taste exactly like the real thing but it tastes good to me!! I recently also found another diet cola flavor in a blue bottle (I assume that it supposed to taste like diet pepsi, which I do not like at all!) and it tastes more like diet coke than the diet cola flavor!! I plan on trying both with cherry syrup (sugar free as long as no aspartame or saccharine) as I love diet cherry coke!! Another reason I really wanted to switch, in addition to the hassle of cases of cans, is that these products contain no saccharine or aspartame. I don't know if cutting these chemicals out will help with my rheumatoid arthritis, but I suspect it might and it certainly won't make it worse!! There has been a lot of data recently about diet and rheumatologic diseases, I.e. glutens, low vitamin D and anti-oxidents, etc!! Its only been a couple days so I can't say if there is a change but I am hopeful!!

I was hesitant about buyting the SodaStream because I love my Diet Coke. I was pleasantly surprised on the taste. It taste just as good. I would recommend this machine to all the soda drinkers.

It wasn't terrible but I didn't like this much. I prefer the Cola free flavor which tastes more like coke zero. Mind you I am not picky about diet sodas, I usually like diet coke, diet pepsi, coke zero, check diet coke, etc. but this one was just no good in my opinion.

When I tried this Diet Cola flavored syrup, it reminded me more of a Royal Crown cola and I'm a die-hard Diet Coke fan. You may find it to your liking, but I really like the Cola Free flavored syrup, myself.

I'm a fan of diet cola in general so I was happy after trying this flavor...tastes just like any other generic diet cola you can buy in the store. It's not Pepsi or Coke so don't expect it to taste like them, but it is definitely good.

This is one of the best things out there next to the real thing. It really taste like diet coke and you don't have to go to store as often, it's neat to make your own soda, my family and friends can't believe how it is so much like the real thing coca-cola produces and it is supposed to be better for you. Buy this, a definite time and money saver!!

Not a huge diet drinker, so not sure how it compares to Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi but thought it tasted better then I remember them tasting. LOL Really liked it. May become one of my favorite mixes.

I found this as a back up to the store or other famous sodas. I did not think it has as good as flavor. But, I am happy to have it maybe in the future I well like the flavor better. The testing shows this is cheaper then the"bottled" soda @ the store.

Wow! The thing I find great about Sodastream is that we get to experiment to make our favorite formula. I found I like an extra blast of carbonation mixed with a full capful of the diet cola. I tried a little more and a little less the first couple times I made it, but that's the right one for my taste! You can't go wrong with this one....the diet cola is my favorite so far followed closely by the diet root beer! =)

My daughter-in-law and I often share a Name Brand Diet Cola and this was every bit as good. She loved it too, and was pleased that we could make our own without all the sodium and aspartame.

Pretty Good for Diet Cola

So I picked up a soda stream kit and a bottle of this diet cola. Overall I think it was a good purchase. As far as this cola goes, I'd say it's pretty good. Obviously not as good as Coke or Pepsi but on par, if not better than a Faygo, RC or other smaller brand. I'll definitely be buying more.
