Fuzzy cookers

I purchased one of these rice cookers, with a fuzzy logic board. It contains a battery, not replaceable by the consumer. The battery will last about 3 years, which means it will have to be replaced. Although I like cookers with programs, in my opinion the price is too high for something that needs repair after 3 years.

I've had my Neuro Fuzzy rice cooker for about a year now and absolutely love it. Rice comes out PERFECT every time, whether it's white, brown, black, wild, or whatever. I've also used it very successfully to make whole grains such as steel-cut oats, barley, quinoa, etc. My only teensy-tiny complaints are that's it a bit slower than a non-fuzzy logic cooker and it doesn't display how much time is remaining until the last 10 minutes, so you'll need to experiment with it to learn approximately how long it will take to make longer-cooking grains such as brown or wild rice (about 1.5 hours in my experience). Otherwise, a very worthwhile purchase. I really love being able to just put grains and liquid in it, set the timer, and just walk away and work on the rest of dinner without worrying about rice boiling over, running dry, or sticking to the bottom of my pans. I very highly recommend Zojirushi products!
