My husband and I received this rice cooker for our wedding a year ago, and so far so good! Their "cup" measurements aren't the same as a regular cup, which is why they provide a plastic cup to measure with. It sometimes sputters onto the counter (depending on how full it is), but it's easy to clean up. The nonstick bowl is a cinch to clean if you let it soak for a bit first. Overall, it produces good texture rice and is easy to use.

Absolutely terrible product. It sputters all over my counter. The measurements are not true, the timer did not produce tender rice as indicated, it stuck to the bottom. On and on....I am back to a pan and lid with much better results.Ssave your money!

First one I bought lasted less than a week. I still am using second one..Rice sticks to bottom...Have a feeling this one won't last either....My advice, spend money and get a real one. That's in my future.

I'm on number three right now and the time of use has diminished with each one. The first one I had for about eight months, the second was about six months, and the third was three weeks! The one good thing is that I can use the non-stick "pot" and its accessories with the same model. That helps if I need to make large amounts for a pot luck dinners and such.

It's easy to use but the quality is just not there. For the price if you can get the 90 days worth of use then it's worth it. I wouldn't recommend this nor that BB&B continue to stock this as it gives them a bad rep. I'm going to exchange it this weekend and see if I can get number 4. Good thing I kept the packaging...

I guess you can't expect too much from a $20 product, but our rice cooker just stopped working after about 2 months. It worked great when it did work, but I'm disappointed it only lasted 2 months! Unfortunately I do not have the receipt, so I don't think I can return it at this point.

BB&B was very helpful in exchanging the non-working rice cooker. Used the machine for three weeks and then we had no heat at the burner. We'll see if number two works? If not, it is money back time.

Just purchased this rice cooker. Used it twice and so far I've been happy. I would have purchased another Hamilton Beach but the store was out. I'm glad I purchased this rice cooker.

For those who have had issues with it boiling over always make sure to place a towel to protect your counter.

The first two cups of rice that I made were perfect. It pays to read the instructions and the tips & tricks. I rinsed two cups of rice twice, placed the rice in the cooker bowl, added three and one half cups of water, and let it soak for thirty minutes. Then I put the lid on the bowl, plugged the cooker into an electrical outlet, and turned it on. Twenty minutes later the cooker switched to the warm setting, and fifteen minutes after that I took the rice out of the bowl and none of it stuck to the bottom. As for longevity, I’ve used it only once so far. But, I expect to get at least the purchase price of $14.99 worth of use out of it.

Received a different rice cooker as a wedding gift but returned it for a cheaper one (IMUSA) because we thought we didn't need a fancy rice cooker. Opened it up yesterday to two immediate problems: 1) the lid didn't properly fit, and 2) it didn't turn on!

This is a very poorly made rice cooker specifically intended for people concerned with price. Be forewarned - you get what you pay for. Returning this today for a better rice cooker.

stay away from teflon!

my husband &I purchased the rice cooker about 6 months ago.The price was right,and it works fine.The problem is the pan is loosing all the teflon,and there seems to be a problem with company replacing it.
I could buy a new one ,but the problem still exsists.

My wife and I buy this piece of junk and have people over the next day to cook for them.

Put rice & water in it... turn it to "cook" setting... are chatting 3 minutes later when we hear a loud POP! noise. Turn around to see what happened and it turns out the glass cover had exploded from the heat of the machine!!

Wait... let me get this straight. This thing cannot do THE SOLE FUNCTION FOR WHICH IT WAS CREATED WITHOUT EXPLODING????
