Chemical Smell Strong

The pillow is wonderfully comfortable on my neck. However, the chemical smell out of the box, doesn't go away. I tried to add extra layers of pillow cases, spray with a cologne scent I liked, and nothing masked the terrible smell of this pillow.

no more headaches

I saw the TV commercial for this pillow and was SO GLAD that I could get it immediately in a BBB store!
I have suffered for years with terrible headaches that are triggered by "sleeping on the wrong pillow". I am very particular about my pillow and I know that when I don't have *MY* pillow, I will be tormented with headaches for weeks.
NOT ANY MORE! I purchased this pillow 2 months ago and have been headache free! Normally, I would have a headache almost every day because of a neck-sleep-pillow issue - but now I can go to sleep and not fear waking up in the night with a headache or having one during the day!
If you have headaches that are triggered by sleep or "the wrong pillow" - try this pillow. It is SOOO worth the peace of mind and being pain free!

I got one of these pillows when they first came out on TV. I had it from then til now. I have has my cervical spine fused. This is the ONLY pillow I can use to sleep with that my neck does not hurt. I have been with out one for two nights tonight will be night three. I went to the AS SEEN on TV store to get one and could not find one. I will be at Bed Bath and Beyond when they open tomorrow and I will get two.... Our new puppy put a hole in my pillow... Sure do miss it... In pain after just one night today after night two is bad...

Best Gift for back surgery

I was given this pillow as a gift shortly after back surgery on C-7. I could not use the pillow right after the surgery but within a week I gradually worked with it. The contours of the pillow are great for support to the neck and upper spinal area. It conforms to you ; if you have slept with traditional pillow or memory foam you will find the conturing of this pillow much more body friendly. I also take it when I travel due to its size.

Disappointed

I was rather excited to try this pillow as I have tried nearly every pillow out there, and have spent some serious money doing so. The standard size was the only one available at the B3 I went to. Just awful. It is tiny and does NOT conform to your head. Your head just mushes the 'beads' to the top of the pillow.

Great pillow

This is a great pillow. I first bought this for my mother when she was dying of cancer. She was bedridden and this little pillow could be adjusted and fluffed to support her neck. While in the hospital, even if they took her for x-ray or any other tests, that pillow HAD TO GO WITH HER. She would not let it out of her sight. Since she had a hospital bed she used as main pillow but my husband now uses it for additional support with his regular pillow. As for pillowcases, google baby pillow cases and you will find many to fit this in regular style or sham style. They come in solid colors and stripes and of course also baby patterns but I found solid pink, tan, blue, etc. I am planning on getting me another as well as my husband to take on trips for the car and also at motels if the pillows aren't firm enough.

Wonderful Pillow for Smaller Necks/Heads/Shoulder

I have a pillow graveyard by the side of my bed where I have tried countless pillows that give me support for my neck and head and shoulders, but are not too high. I am an average sized person but with a small shoulder/neck/head space and every pillow I find is too big and props my head and shoulders up at an angle that results in pain. I have had horrible neck pain for months and two nights of sleeping on this pillow and the pain is gone. Yes, the pillow is small as other reviewers have said but that's why I love it. It keeps my head in place too and I don't move as much at night. It takes a little smooshing to find the angle thats best for you but when you do it's magic. Pillows are so individual, so I honestly wouldn't worry about negative reviews-as you can always return it. If you are looking for a smaller pillow and are having neck pain give this a try. It keeps its shape and stays cool. I love it!

I've been looking for a decent pillow and thought I'd found the right one. It's a lot smaller than expected and no one makes pillow covers for that sized pillow. While this isn't a big deal - you can always just make a pillow cover for it out of old ones, the big deal is that it doesn't hold up very well. The seams in the middle of the pillow - where it cradles your head - tore. I returned it and bought the sobakawa buck pillow. While it is a bit louder, it suited my needs a bit better because I was able to mush the pillow around to fit my head and neck better than I could with this one.

Caused too much neck pain

After purchasing this product, I was extremely excited to use it. The next morning I woke up with neck pain, so I thought, well, maybe I just slept wrong. I waited a few days until the pain lessened and used the pillow again. This time I woke up with excruciating neck pain. I could barely move my head from side to side and it took four days for it to recover. It hurt so bad I was considering going to a doctor. Again, I thought, it couldn't be the pillow. So here I am, months later, still intrigued by this pillow. I used it last night and low and behold, I can barely move my neck. I will no longer be using this pillow and am amazed at all the people who wrote rave reviews. The beads did not contour well to my head and caused my neck to be completely out of line with my body. Keep your receipt just in case this happens to you.
p.s. It does make a great plane pillow though.

Sleeping On A Rock

I was really looking forward to this pillow as both me and my wife have neck and back problems. My wife used it the first night. She gave it to me and said it was too hard. By 4 in the morning I gave up on it. It felt like I was sleeping on a small rock. It didnt conform to my face and neck at all and it was way too small.I will use it if I ever have to elevate my leg. Very disappointed.

Greatest Thing Since Peanut Butter

I wholly endorse this pillow. It is my second one. I lost my first on in a ambulance ride to the hospital. Someway it got into the bedding they picked me up in. I have had 6 spinal fusions, and 1 cervical fusion. I could not think of trying to sleep without one. My first was a small one, about 1/4 the size of a standard pillow, and it was always getting out from under my head at night. My sweet wife knew how much I loved my pillow, so today she came back from Bed Bath and Beyond with a full size one. I have never tried it, but it says you can put it in the freezer for an hour before bed-time to get a cooler sleep. I never noticed it really being hot, but the cooler sounded good. If you have a wife, husband, or someone close to you with neck, or back problems, this would be the perfect gift. I did order one that was filled with buck wheat hulls, but returned it. It was too firm and very heavy. This pillow is JUST RIGHT. It is not recommended for a child under 14 years of age per the instructions that came with the pillow. Buy one, try it, and if you don't like it, it can always be returned. That's the reason for doing business with Bed and Bath.......no questions ask why. Get one now, and start having a good nights sleep. Call the store first before making a trip, as sometimes they are out of the pillow size, A good thing is hard to keep.

I bought this for my sister as she had mentioned wanting one. She has had it for over a month and will still mention how much she LOVES it when we talk. She has said everyone should have one. She thought it was small and wasn't confident it would be comfortable but when she woke up 9 hours later, she was convinced!

Bought this pillow for my husband. He was always complaining about how he had to bunch up our pillows and still didn't get a good night's sleep. I bought this Sobakawa Standard size pillow for him and HE LOVES IT. He refuses to go anywhere overnite without it. I bought an extra and keep it in the linen closet in case he accidently loses it.

NO Face Wrinkles!! NO neck aches side or back.

The pillow took a little bit to get used to, but what I really love about it is that I don't wake up with face wrinkles. I truly feel like my regular pillow with a pillow case was helping to age my skin more. With this pillow your face is never being pulled or bunched against the material. It's a very natural way to sleep. No more neck aches for me either. If I read a book at night, I will push the pillow around until I get the amount of lift that I want whether I am on my side or my back. It feels supportive and there is no unnatural bend happening to my neck whether side or back. I had no issues with odor and I am hyper sensitive to odor so I do not know what the other person commenting here is talking about.. It's ALOT cooler than a regular pillow too, trust me, we're in Florida. But if you are expecting it to cool you like an air conditioner, that's not what it advertises.

I like the pillow and yes, it has helped with my neck, however, I don't know why anyone would say it stays cool. We sleep in a 70 degree room with the ceiling fan and an oscillating fan going. (hubby is very hot natured) It doesn't stay cool at all to me. I also wish it was larger, I have to use it on top of a regular pillow that is kind of flat.

We bought two of these for my wife and me. There was a HUGE difference in the fill of each: one was comfortably medium fill, the other was overly soft. We checked the box to see if we purchased two different fill levels. Nothing noted that there should be any difference at all. We returned the softest one, and came home with one firmer than the one we kept (medium fill) ... WAY firmer. We returned this third one for another which was again different than the first three. We eventually tried five pillows - all different than the last, and kept one. So ... Are they comfortable? Yes, but only after comparing multiple pillows which should have all been the same in the first place. I guess quality control is not their strong suit ...

Skeptical at first, but now I can't sleep without

My mom purchased this product shortly after it came out to the market. I tried it at the time, and I thought it was just okay and I preferred my memory foam pillow. I recently had neck surgery, and found myself uncomfortable with nearly every pillow I tried: my memory foam (about 1 yr old), water based, regular. It was so bad that I could only tolerate sleeping in a recliner. Then I tried the Sobakawa® Cloud Pillow, and I was finally able to sleep on a bed or couch. Also at my 2 week follow up appointment, I spoke with my doctor about the discomfort while sleeping. It was recommended to use this pillow that I had just started using. Now I'm at the point I can't live without it. I just ordered the queen/king size. I can't wait to get it. I also tried freezing the pillow... it does retain the cool for a while, however for more severe problems, it would probably be bust to use in combination with an ice pack.
