Great knives, if you care for them

I got this knife set about a year and a half ago and I love them. Beware of the negative reviews; I would bet every single one of them ran their knives through the dishwasher. I leave my knives sitting in the sink (not in water, not wet) until I'm ready to do some dishes, then I clean them one at a time and dry them before putting them back in the block. This is very easy and will make this knife set hold up well for the money.

These are not very good knives. I received them for a wedding shower gift in April 2012 and it's November 2012 and my knives are already rusting! I haven't done anything unusual to these and they should not be rusting this soon. I wouldn't recommend these.

Rusty Knives

We registered for this set for our wedding - what a mistake! It has only been 10 months and 5 of the knives are a rusty mess. They can't be placed in the dishwasher or they rust. Major disappointment.

We purchased this set after having a very cheap set from another retailer. I love that the entire knife (not just the blade) is steel. It looks nice & I think it won't wear out as quickly this way. The steak knife part comes out of the base for you to bring to the table or outside to the BBQ when having several people over. Overall, love this set! It's definitely a steal at the price!

My husband and I got this set just over 6 months ago and use the knives quite a bit. We don't leave them sitting in water in the sink, but do put them in the dishwasher. We haven't had any trouble with rusting and they still seem sharp. We are very happy with the set! I am back on this page to buy my parents a set for Christmas. After using them at my house last month, they kept going on and on about wanting them. The steak knives are great and don't look bulky and ridiculous when I set the table with them. I would certainly recommend these.

Thy don't hold an edge at all , you have ti put the steal onthem almost every time. I ve even taken the to a pro sharpner and thet lastes about 90 days MAX. .I havr a stone Floor and you drop the knife the blad shatters.Also you cant wash them in the dish washer. IT WAS NOT what I expcted from ..Cuisinart

This is a great set for the price especially for the brand Cuisinart, I love the steak knives in this set and that they're not bulky like in other steel sets I looked at before choosing this one

I recently purchased this knife set based on the fact that I love the quality, style and price of Cuisinart!!! After two months of using this product I am sad to say this product was quite a disappointment. The knifes rust very easily and have become very high maintence, being that I can't leave them dirty in the sink over night or just for a few hours...they must be washed and dried right away after each use. These knifes cannot be dishwashed because it will make the knifes dull. The knifes also became dull within those two months. Not what I expected from a Cuisinart product.

My mom gave me this set as a housewarming gift a few months ago and I love it! The set looks great on my counter and goes perfectly with my stainless appliances, the knives are really sharp and really easy to clean and I love that the front section comes out so you can take the steak knives out as a set

I purchased these knives thinking the Cuisinart name stood for quality. WRONG!!! Knives weren't sharp, metal rusted, just a bad deal.

I contacted Cuisinart and.....they couldn't care less.

Now Cuisinart stands for garbage.
