We had a holiday dinner party and used our Chocolate Fountain for the first time. I ordered chocolate from Chocoley - Just Melt It - It was a little pricey but I wanted to get the kind that I wouldn't have to add oil. I was a little nervous as we hadn't used it yet and my dinner guests were just finishing up with dinner. We plugged in the fountain to warm the fountain while we were melting the chocolate in the microwave. We poured the chocolate in and wow... it worked perfectly. The clean up was messy yet not too big of a problem. I unplugged the unit and let the chocolate settle in the main bowl of the unit. I placed an empty container in the sink. After detaching the tower and setting it aside, I just poured the extra chocolate in the container that was sitting in the sink. I then put the tower parts in sudsy water and cleaned them with a sponge. The main bowl of the unit simply needs to be wiped out. I then rinsed that main unit bowl by holding it carefully under the sink faucet making sure to not get the rest of the main unit submerged in any way. The unit has a "level" on the back of it to be sure that when using, the unit is level. It needs to be level to work properly. Loved that this level was built right into the unit. The parts are easy to put together and take apart. I recommend this unit.

Ok, here it is. The fountain worked, however we had to add much more oil to the mix than was "suggested" for the chocolate to flow. Once it was flowing, it did run rather smoothly and evenly. The theory we have come up with is that the base either does not heat up to the temperature it should and therefore runs too cool or it does not heat evenly. Either way, after some tweaking it worked for our purposes but not as it should have. Still cheaper than renting one or hiring someone else to provide one. I would say it is worth the money if you absolutely have to have a chocolate fountain at your function. Hoping it will work again the second time we use it. Who knows? We will have to wait and see.

Bought this for my daughters birthday party, The unit does not melt chocolate, you have to melt the chocolate first, then pour it in the fountain. It started nice, but the motor locked up and quit running. Clean up is a pain, I will be taking this back to the store for a refund.

I purchased this for my sisters bridal shower and it was a huge hit. Worked wonderfully and definitely added fun to the party! I will definitely use it again and plan on purchasing another (so that I can have chocolate and white chocolate) for my baby shower. It did require more than four lbs of chocolate for a good flow.

Works GREAT, clean up is a pain

I bought this fountain at the request of my sister and my future mother in law for my bridal shower. If you buy the pro melting chocolate (which I did), you don't have to add cooking oil, and it works wonderfully! I put the 4 pounds in it, but that didn't seem like enough, there were gaps in the flow of the chocolate. Next time, I'll probably use another pound. It worked wonderfully, no sputtering, no clumping. Clean up, however, is a pain. You have to dump the remaining chocolate and clean the components as the chocolate cools, but before it hardens. Other than that, *2 thumbs up*

This chocolate fountain not only had the perfect price but it works like a champ. I wanted one for my daughter's baby shower but have used it every chance I get. It is easy to set up. Wash directly after using machine with a baby bottle brush. Love it love it love it.

I recently purchased this fountain for a party and I tried it beforehand to see how well it worked. It was great! It holds up to 4 pounds of chocolate and needs that much for a beautiful flow, but we used it with just 2 ounces and it worked fine. Clean up was pretty easy as well, a baby bottle cleaner will make everything much easier! Set up was a breeze as well. I would definitely recommend this one. Great price and so far great quality!

So far so good it was really easy to put together and I followed the directions to t. I didn't use the wilton pro candy but I did use the wilton wafers and had to add the veg oil but I followed the directions and it worked great I'm excited to try the white choc. and caramel next. I may have to purchase another one. clean up also was a breeze took about 15 min to get it all clean and put away. like I said so far so good I"m extremely pleased with it

I bought this product after reading a number of reviews from other sites, it was highly recommended. I was happy to see it here at Bed Bath & Beyond. I purchased it and tried it out with a few days and it worked great. The legs are adjustable and there is a level on the unit so you know it is in fact level so the chocolate will flow evenly. It worked perfectly. I am so happy with it and plan to use it at our family Holiday party. It will be fun to see all the kids big and small using it.
