steamer worked for the first 3 times , after that the steam does not come out of the pipe but from where the coffee filter is, and yes ive cleaned it and checked for blockage and ran vinegar thru it twice still nothing! and the seal came out after the 2nd time using it, water leaking
not recommended not worth it!
i prefer to use the stove top one alot simpler but no creamer oh well

Loved this machine, but it did not hold up

We used this machine for 2 weeks, and loved the espresso it produced. It is easy to use, has some nice features that are improvements over simpler machines we've used. Not being fans of K, and preferring espresso for lattes to brewed coffee, this is a good product. HOWEVER, I chose to ignore the many reviews that told the story of the machine not holding up. Sure enough, the seal on the cap broke the second week of use. This caused the machine to leak water, and not be able to hold the necessary pressure. We took it back. If the manufacturer would just get this quality control issue fixed, I think he would have a good selling product.

Price and simplicity make this unit very attractive for the consumer. However, the swivel frothing arm will not stay stationary during the frothing process. The arm when under pressure wants to swivel back against the glass carafe. If you are frothing two cups individually, the arm will move into the carafe when changing cups to be frothed. You have to move the arm back into position in order to get your second cup under the frother. Careful not to touch frothing arm with the bare hand. Extremely hot! Very cumbersome and not worth the frustration. Returned my online ordered unit to the brick and mortar store for a full refund. Thanks BB&B!

Amazing Little Machine

We've bought 3-4 Espresso makers over the years, and this, for our purposes, is the tops; especially considering the incredible value. It's pretty rudimentary, but looks nice and works reliably. I don't know why some other reviewers said you have to watch it while brewing - it forces the hot water through the grinds, and then there's no more water to come out, so you can come back later without a problem. It is unquestionably hot enough(referencing a comment from another evaulator). I bought this a few months ago, for my office, actually at a competitor's store ( same amazing price, except actually less expensive at BBB with the coupon), Our home machine, a B______, just died after much use, and so we're getting another Capresso for home ... By the way, you can stick your own mug ( if it's low profile) under the spritzer gizmo instead of the glass carafe.

Good affordable machine

This is a good little machine and it makes good lattes. I bought this machine to replace a DeLonghi machine that stopped working. This machine is lightweight, simple to operate and minimal parts to clean. I would say it does not have the, "crema" like normal espresso does, but I use it to make lattes and it works just fine for me. Make sure you follow directions and make sure you let out the steam before you open it or remove the filter, it generates lots of pressure.

I fill the pitcher up to the metal band and pour the water into the top of the maker. I put the lid on and make sure the little arrow lines up with the line at the front of the machine. I then put the coffee in the filter and press it down lightly with the enclosed tamper. I put the filter in the machine, lock it in, I then turn the machine on. The maker will take a few minutes to brew your coffee. After the desired amount is in the cup, I switch it to steam, then I steam my milk. After My milk is steamed, I pour into my cup, and then pour in my coffee. After I put the empty carafe under the maker, turn it on, let it brew, (usually throw this out), then turn the steam on and let everything out, then after it is all out, you can remove the filter tray.

The coffee is fine for me and tastes good is fairly quick and easy. You can experiment with the grind you want, I am using fine, but someone here said they used turkish grind, I may try that and see how it works. The only thing is, it does not seem to produce the crema like regular espresso, but that should not matter if you are just making cappicinos or lattes.

Good maker, would recommended.

I had been looking for an inexpensive cappuccino maker and after reading the positive reviews, this seemed it. I received it as a bridal shower gift and have been very pleased. The frother does take a little getting used to, as I had never used one before, but within three cups I had it down. I really like this little machine, it works and does not take up too much space in the kitchen. I love making cappuccinos and lattes at home!

When Tassimo recalled their espresso T-Discs, I hit the big boys for my espresso fix. And that hit my wallet.
This little machine is wonderful! Was a little concerned with reviews stating that you only got a au lait.

As long as the frother nozzle is in the right place, perfect foam.

Haven't had any incidents of breakage, burns, just great coffee, at a fraction of the cost.

Tried some almond milk, not quite as frothy, but not bad.
Made hot chocolate for the kids, another thumbs up!

I was skeptical about buying this espresso/capuccino machine because it was under $100 and looked a little cheap... but after using it for a couple of weeks, I am converted.

I've never made lattes before and this is so easy and fun to use! It does get dirty fast but that's what happens when you end up making 2-3 of them a day and save $4 each time! A must buy if you're also trying to save space and are looking for an affordable machine.

This is the first espresso/cappuccino machine I have ever used/purchased. I decided on this one after comparing reviews. I recently became addicted to latte's, and wanted to save some $$ by preparing them at home. This machine is worth the price, especially with BB&B's 20% discount! It brews up great espresso, and the milk froths up great. It took a few times to get it down, but the directions are clear, and as long as you follow them, you can do it! The only, only complaint that I have is that I wish that the milk frother wand was longer, but with the height of the machine, that wouldn't be easy to design. It does, however, deliver good, adequate steam for preparing espresso and frothing/steaming milk. So for me this is definitely worth it (but it is the first machine that I have ever purchased/used).

I go to Starbucks regularly, this little, inexpensive machine has saved me tons of money on my usually $3-5 lattes. I just buy the Torani syrups and make it. Make sure you read the directions carefully though! It's not difficult, but you do have to stand over it to make sure you don't burn the espresso. I don't mind, it only takes about 5 minutes, and the result is almost as good as my Starbucks lattes :)

This product is ok (average) for one reason only -- price. Other than this detail, which is significant, the machine simply underperforms and is difficult to use and maintain. The frothing wand is almost useless with the rubber tip attached--I found that removing this improved the performance when making both steamed milk and frothing. The espresso "leaks" out whether it is set to do so or not. There is minimal to no crema, and the espresso finishes one of two ways: watery or burnt. I have made 15 to 20 cups and have seen enough.

This is a nice little starter unit if you are unfamiliar with what a good cup of espresso or latte should taste and look like. Otherwise spend a little more money, that's what I'm about to do.

Love this Expresso machine! We have literally gone through about 4 Mr. Coffee Expresso Machines. With each new style, we have given them another try. I had fresh expresso's this morning with foam within 5 minutes :) My husband and I have white chocolate mochas with 1/2 shot of caramel every morning. They looked beautiful this morning! I appreciate others honest reviews are what led me to choose this model. Thanks very much!

This Thing Makes Great Cappuccino!!!

My wife gave me this as a birthday present because she knows how much I enjoy a good cappuccino and wanted me to be able to enjoy making it at home.

With a burr grinder, and decent espresso beans, this thing makes an amazingly good cup of espresso and cappuccino! The instructions are clear and concise. If you follow them, you will not be disappointed.
It took 5 or 6 tries to get the milk frothing and steaming technique down. It is a 2 step process. Once I did, I was not disappointed. You cannot leave this machine unattended during the brewing or frothing process, but I suppose the same is true for any espresso machine.

For what it's worth, there is no need to buy one of those $3000.00 machines with the bronze hood ornament to get a good cappuccino!

I am in love with my new purchase because it does not cost that much and works very well!
It is a small machine that you will not have any problem to find a space for it, the milk frothing works very well, the instructions are detailed and you cannot make mistakes if you follow it.
I was actually deciding between this machine and another one from Krups costing the same price, but the reviews at Amazon.com were not as good as for this one, that is why I chose the Capresso machine. My first cappuccino was excellent, just like the ones from any good coffee place, and I mean it!
