Not bad with the right tools

I bought this etagere to put in the entryway/guest bathroom. The bathroom has tile walls, so I had to use liquid nails to get it to attach to the wall. It does the job, since I don't have a medicine cabinet in this small bathroom. The quality is not the best, but with the 20% coupon I decided to go for it!

We were very pleased with the quality, delivery, and appearance of the bath storage unit. We had another similar unit we had purchased from a discount store for the same price which was not the quality of the unit from Bed Bath & Beyond.

Very wobbly

It took me hours to assemble and I had help to hold piece together. You have to fix the unit to the wall or it is to wobbly to stand up on its own. Even then it's flimsy. I am missing a plastic piece that holds ups up the inside shelf. II wouldn't recommend.

I would not recommend this product to anybody, especially a woman because the shelves would not even hold a bath towel like it shows in the picture.
First it took a very long time to get assembled and all the pieces were not in the box so we were a few screws short. The doors didn't close properly, so it didn't look even; one side stuck out more than the other. The product is poorly manufactured. The shade part of the doors had gaps on the edges so it looked like it was broken.
After getting the whole space saver together, we put it behind our toilet that flushes on the top instead of the side and we couldn't get our hand through the space to flush the toilet. The cabinets are extremely tiny, there is no way a bath towel will fit on the bottom exposed shelf. I don't know about any other ladies but we purchased this to put stuff in, not for looks! And there is no way all the things a woman has in her bathroom would nicely fit in this product. Shelves are not deep enough and its short...

This things takes hours to put together and unless you're very strong, it requires two people. The board that goes underneath the toilet hits my water supply. So now I'm looking for risers, to lift this thing by half a foot. Also, if you have large baseboards, it makes securing this thing to the wall extremely difficult because the unit won't be flush to the wall. The unit was also damaged when I received it but not going to the trouble to ship it back. The shelves hang at different levels which makes the unit look cheap. The biggest downside is the wobbliness. If you don't attach this thing to something stable, it will definitely fall down at some point, and maybe on your mother as she tries to open one of the shelves!

Takes over 2 hours to assemble, boards cracked and big chunks fell off. Major support can't be installed until to fit it over the toilet (after the 2.5 hour assembly) & it hits piping!! Doesn't fit. Had to remove the whole thing and drill holes. Too unstable not to drill tote wall. Terrible!!!!

I purchased two of these space savers. One I put over the toilet and the other one is against a wall. Underneath it, I put the clothes hamper. The hamper sticks out a little, but it still looks nice. I feel that the price was very good especially when you get your 20% on each item.

So I have to go back to the store and return the opened box or have them open another box to get the assembly instructions. Either way it's a trip I wasn't planning on taking.

This is a very nice product. It requires two people to assemble it and set it up. We had three problems:
1. The bottom cross pice that stabilizes it has to go on AFTER the unit is around the toilet. We had a very tight space and could not get a screw driver in to tighten the screw on one side, so it wobbles a bit. Also, the pre-drilled holes made it impossible to properly install this important piece. The water lines behind the toilet are in the way. There is no information to allow you to check this fitting before you have opened and assembled the cabinet. So we ending up having to put the piece in only one set of the pre-drilled holes, which left the unit wobbly. The only other option would have been to move it back out of the bathroom, drill our own holes, (hoping it wouldn't crack or split the composite wood), and put it back...however we are still left with the fact you have to put the screws in from the side where it is a tight fit to another cabinet.
2. The plates to anchor it to the wall are also pre-drilled holes. This can be a problem if there are pipes or wires in the wall behind the unit. And due to the instability of it, you NEED to anchor it to the wall.
3. The little plastic screws-head covers did not snap on easily. We finally decided to leave them off and will cover the screw heads with a piece of tape if they become a problem...I hope they don't rust!
In spite of these problems, it is a very nice unit and we are not sorry we got it.

Product cannot be built as pictured because stabilizing bar on bottom interferes with toilet plumbing. Top had boards included which were wrong size and had to be cut down. Magnets are too weak to hold doors closed well. Top section will not fit into bottom poles because holes on bottom are in wrong place. I ended up putting the top together (after sawing boards to correct dimensions) and just seating it atop the toilet tank. Any bathroom cabinet (usually with more shelves and more utilitarian) can be used instead of this piece of junk which I spent 6 hrs. trying to build. My son-in-law who is a former contractor could not offer an idea for a better way to get this to hold together as it is supposed to.

Our first unit came with no parts box, second unit came with no directions. I've done a few kits like this, So I looked at the picture for guidance.
Total time putting it together was 45 minutes, stable and looks great.
If it is unstable or you have other issues, you are not tightening the cams correctly or have put the rods in backwards.

I love white louvres so this cabinet was perfect for my bathroom to give me added storage space and good looks. It is perfect. Was not too difficult to assemble and is very sturdy. I put a plant on the top and it just looks great!

Adequate Storage

I read many reviews and was concerned about how difficult it might be to put this together, but I did it on my own in under two hours. I had no problems with missing drill holes or pieces. The instructions accurately demonstrated the correct steps to take to complete this piece. It is well worth the low cost that I paid and does provide additional storage in my bathroom. Of course, it is only particle board but what do you expect for under $75?
I would recommend this purchase for someone that wants an affordable storage option.

We bought this thinking it wood look good in the bathroom. With all of the different parts it took almost 3 hours to put together with difficulty making some pieces fit together. After it was assembles it was so unstable, we put a roll of toilet paper on the shelf and the whole unit wobbled. It looks nice if you don't touch it, but I would like to use it. Needless to say we took the whole thing apart to return.

I was a little hesitant to purchase this item based on the other reviews, but for the price that I payed I was very pleased! It did take quite a bit of time to assemble, but I buy all my furniture from IKEA so I'm used to it.. The only problem I encountered was on one of the long panels there were no pre-drilled holes for the hinges. My dad's power drill solved that problem. If you take your time, pay attention to details, it turns out great! It makes a big difference in my teeny tiny bathroom.

Poorly made, and very shoddy. Pre-drilled holes do not match up. Once installed, it looks nice, but the particle board construction is far to weak to support weight. Basically a waste of money.

You definitely get what you pay for, but I would expect better than this from BB&B. My wife and I work on this with horrible results. Parts are very cheaply made. Screws and bolts do not line up correctly. Some were even stripped. This company made an easy thing very difficult. We've assembled computer desks, entertainment units, etc. with no problems. Buyer beware. Horrible product. Wasted money and time.

When I opened the box I was a little intimidated by all of the pieces and nearly-wordless directions; once I managed to get it properly assembled, however, I was really pleased with the outcome.
I found it helpful to have a drill on hand even though you could probably get by with a screw driver.

This furniture is a problem-solver's dream, but if you prefer pieces that work the right way the first time, maybe go with something else. First of all, it came without the instructions it was supposed to have so I had to drive back to the store and get them. Then once I got down to building it, I realized that the screws are extremely poorly made. Two of them didn't even have the hole in the top that the allen wrench is supposed to fit in, so they wouldn't screw all the way in. After 2.5 hours or so, I finally finished the sun of a gun, and it looks OK....of course there's the gap in between the doors. It was fairly cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for.....just make sure you have some super glue on hand because the cheap plastic screw covers don't stay in without it!
