Great Improvements to this Product

I have been using potty patch for my 2 year old shih-tzu for 2 years. I'll agree that the earlier forms of this product had a scent to them. I buy a new one about every 6 months. The last one I bought about 2 months ago, 12/12, has improvements. No more smells, drainage is better. Everything is better about this product. I put a potty pad on the base. You cannot tell that there is a potty patch in my apartment. And with the 20% coupon... BB&B has the best price than anyone!

Potty Patch - Design Flaw

While the idea is fantastic, there is a design flaw. I have 2 ShihTzu puppies and they caught on quickly and all was going well until one of them who is a chewer began to chew on the edges and corners. I found astroturf in his stool. The top tier (astroturf) isn't protected by anything. There should be a frame that goes on top of the grass so that the corners and edges aren't accessible for chewing.

Worst product ever

I have been to friends homes who have new puppies and tried to figure out what the weird odor was...now that I have a puppy I realize it is the Potty Patch.... No matter how much you wash it, deodorize it, it always has a bad odor. What a waste of $40. We will stick to regular training pads. Don't waste your money!

Great Product - Will NOT make your house smell

This is a great product. I have one for home and one that I take when I travel to family and friends houses. It is wonderful so that my little Shorkie doesn't freeze. I think the person that said that it smelled up the house didn't realize you need to wash it. You just use mild soap. I put it in the laundry tub and wash thoroughly ONCE A WEEK or more often depending on how much we are home.

Great for Puppies

Great for my 4 jack puppies, learned in 1 hour, no odors, can use KOE (kennel odor eliminator) if you have an issue with that. I have four puppies that share it with absolutely no issues at all. I am getting another one for my fostered crippled Yorkie.

POTTY PATCH

I have a Shih Tzu puppy and he uses it with no problems. We typically take him outside to use the bathroom but we have the potty patch in our home for when we are not there. To clean it will still use regular cleaning products and the house outside in the yard, but he knows he must use the potty on there.

Your house will smell like urine

I purchase this product thinking it was going to help my dog to be train faster. Well is o k on the training aspect he used it and misses just like he did on the plain pad. The problem is that the plastic in-between the grass and the pad will keep some of the urine and will all know how it will stink up your home. I wash and wash and the smell won’t go away, and your dog is coming to urine on it again, so the smell of urine will always be in your house. My house is 1700 sq feet and our dog is a Yorkie he is about 4lb, this is one of the smallest dogs imagine a bigger dog with bigger bladder.
