Not worth wasting money...

We purchased this scale in the hopes that it would work as the description said it would. However, after getting it out of the box and trying to make it work, we could not get the "Set" button to function as the instructions said it should. We were NOT allowed to make any changes to the default information in the scale. It seems to be STUCK with User 1 being a 71 year old male that is 5' 7" tall. Neither my wife nor I are anywhere near this configuration, but pressing the "Set" button would not change anything. We are taking it back. After reading other reviews, we will not be exchanging it. This one appeared to have been opened before. Oh, as a regular bathroom scale it works fine, but none of the Weight Watchers stuff works at all. Love the concept, hate the implementation.

Not Working Properly Right Out of the Box

The only feature that worked when we got this item was the weighing aspect. The rest of its features would not work at all. We had to send it back. We didn't want to pay for something that couldn't be utilized.

This scale is awful. Bought from BB&B, set up ONE user, it defaulted on the other three users to male, same set age, same set height, now nobody who gets on the scale gets the right weight (have been to the doctor and verified this scale is off by TEN POUNDS) sorry I threw away the receipt so can't get my money back.

Good Scale Once You Figure it Out

This is an accurate scale. The only issue is how to tap it to get it started. The easiest solution was to gently lift one side 1/2 inch with a toe and then put it back down. The scale immediate sets itself to zero and you can weigh yourself. It's very easy to use.

Bad product - worse customer service

I purchased my 1st WW scale from BB&B and when it did not work, I assumed I got a "lemon" and exchanged it for another WW scale (same model). Lo and behold, this one did not work either. It would not allow me to set my information. Thinking that I must be doing something wrong, I called CONAIR and was told that I should remove the batteries, leave them out for at least an hour, and call them back so we could 'reprogram' the scale. I did as told, and called them back today. After going through the same steps that I tried previoulsy according to the directions, the Rep told me to purchase NEW batteries and try again!!
After purchasing a NEW scale, the last thing I intend to do is waste more money on more batteries only to be told that the product is probably defective.
Needless to say, this one is going back and I am steering clear of CONAIR products!! They obvously do not stand behind their products.

Accurate and Attractive Scale

This scale has worked perfectly for me and is exactly on measure when I weigh in at Jenny Craig. I think it takes a bit of practice to turn on but I managed to get the right touch after a week. However, my husband continued to bang on it to turn it on despite my showing him how a double, light toe touch at the top of the scale next to the weight window does the trick every time.

Can't believe the negative reviews! I have had mine for over 3 years and am a member of Weight Watchers and they have been in sink with their scales since day one. Maybe those of you who have written negative reviews should follow instructions. Hope those customers who are thinking about these scales will not decide based on these reviews.

This scale is not accurate and it takes so long to get it to turn on. You have to slide it a bit to get it to turn on. The tapping does not work.

My husband and I got this scale in June and we have not had any of the problems other reviewers have experienced. I get accurate readings and I use it daily. It was easy for us to set up separate users to calculate BMI, etc.
It's sleek and nice-looking, so we leave it out all the time.
The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that it IS a little hard to get it to turn on. When you read the instruction manual it tells you you have to "tap" the surface of the scale to get it to turn on. "Tap," in reality, means smack it with your foot, or lift the bottom half a little and set it down on the floor. Then it turns on and you can step on and get started.
I'm sorry to read so many negative reviews - we've really liked using this scale!

I purchased these scales when I joined Weight Watcher's. I had not owned any bathroom scales in years. But when this was a WW item, I thought it would surely be accurate..I agree with all these people that say it is the worst ever...When you are dieting, you surely don't want your weight fluctuating as much as ten lbs. from morning til night!! The only good thing I can say about it is that I know I can take it back without a receipt..They stand behind their products.. I'm not going to replace it. I'll just wait to weigh once a week at the meeting.

This is the worst scale ever. I weighed 120 this morning on an accurate scale that I know works, and then apparently I gained 7 pounds from eating egg whites and vegetables today. My roommate who is a stick weighed 110, and now all the sudden she weighs 123. Oh then 5 min later she lost 5 pounds and weighed 118 from standing there talking to me about how this scale has to be wrong. Returning.

I got this scale this weekend and it sucks, I tried to set up my height and age and it just doesn't do anything and when I tried to weight myself it gives and error. Do not but it! Now I have to drive back to the store to return this junk! I read the EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale on reviews on Amazon and they seem to be one of the best scales.

i'm surprised that BBBY is still selling this item

I didn't read the reviews before purchasing this item, but I wish I had. First, It doesn't reliably turn on. I had to pick it up and set it down multiple times. I'd thought the battery was low until I read reviews and realized this was a common complaint. Worse, the readings aren't reliable. First I weighed in at 130. One minute later I was 125.3. Then again 130. Then 125.4. We're returning the scale to the store today. BBBY should be ashamed of itself for selling and promoting this product!

We didn't check reviews before purchasing, but I wish we had. Unbelievable. Doesn't reliably turn on. I had to pick it up and set it down multiple times to make it work. I thought the battery was low. That was until I read reviews and realized this was a common complaint. Worse than that, it weighed me at 130, then a few seconds later it registered 125.3. Next minute, back to 130 and then again 125.4. I haven't a clue how much I really weigh. This scale is going back to the store today. Shame on you, BBBY, for carrying and promoting this product.

I have found this scale simple and easy to use. My readings stay the same and are consistent if I take clothes/jewelry on or off it only varies by a fraction.

Inaccurate readings

This is my first review on BB&B but I felt compelled to write something.
I had no problems programming user data, with the arrow buttons or reading the various metrics it displays. As other reviewers stated, instead of "tapping" to turn on, I had to either bounce the scale off the ground or give it a hearty thump with my heel. But I could live with that.
The problem is simply that the weight readings are wildly inaccurate. I first weighed myself wearing a nightgown. Then, I figured, to set a more consistent standard, I took the nightgown off to weigh myself in the buff. There was a 7 pound decrease. That was my first red flag, as I don't own any shirts that weigh 7 pounds.
Then I weighed myself 5 times in a row (waiting 5 seconds or so in between) and got 5 different reads within a 3 pound window.
If you're not interested in tracking weight changes within about 5 pounds, I guess this scale would be suitable. But I'm guessing that most people buying a scale that weighs to the .1 pound would like to actually get an accurate read.
That being said, after reading through the other scale reviews on this site, it doesn't look like BB&B actually sells a good one. I'll return mine and look on Amazon.

Instructions are wrong...Call Conair Consumer line

Right out of the box, this scale did not work. Yes, I read the reviews but decided to buy it anyway. Yes, I read the instructions. I could not get the scale to turn on. I even tried suggestions made by other reviewers but nothing worked. It's dead! So, I decided to call Conair Consumer line 1-800-326-6247. Guess what? The instructions are wrong and they know it. Give them a call, they will gladly step through the process of making it work correctly.

I purchased this scale a couple of months ago and it has never worked right. I can step on it three or four times within five minutes and I get numbers that vary up to five pounds from each other. I'd return it, but I've lost the receipt. Don't let the "Weight Watchers" label fool you - this is a poorly made product that should be taken off the shelves.
