I have tried the Gevalia Cappucino and the Gevalia Caramel Latte Macchiato. I prefer the Gevalia Cappucino, it just tastes so much better. If your thinking your Caramel Macchiato is going to taste like Starbucks it's not. It's just an average taste.

It was saddening when the Caramel Macchiato was recalled but now that it is back, it was well worth the wait.
I use a little Caramel Macchiato coffee creamer with this and it is delicious. This is the favorite coffee in my household.

I'll start with a personal disclaimer that claims that our taste preferences are different and what I think is the most delicious thing ever could taste like trash juice to others. I should point out that I don't see much of a difference with Gevalia or Maxwell House's version of the caramel expresso pod. The way I prepare it - they taste the same. To imitate the overpriced coffee shop I used to severely overpay at, I use the following "recipe" which varies only in the use of "sugar-free" or not. Using a giant 24 ounce hot/cold cup I bought at BB&B, I start with 3-4 teaspoons of vanilla coffee flavoring and 3-4 teaspoons of caramel coffee flavoring. This eliminates the use of any other sweeteners. Then I pour a few squeezes of caramel sauce (like that used on ice cream). Next, I brew the expresso pod. I normally hit the extra button for 10 - 15 seconds to add just a bit more water/expresso. Then comes the frothy milk (either type of milk works fine) - finally I add about 2 heaping spoonfuls of CoolWhip. After taking 2 Lactaid tablets I sit back, relax and enjoy..

Love it Love it Love it ! So good -what else can I say? And I love that it makes a larger cup. Tastes great, looks wonderful. I am so happy with my Tassimo Coffee maker and this Latte is a wonderful treat to get you going in the morning or just a little pick me up in the afternoon.

We have tried and been happy with a variety of other Gevalia T-Discs, which is why I tried the Carmel Latte Macchiato despite the mixed reviews. I must say the poor reviews were right on. I was extremely disappointed in the flavor. The finished beverage is watery (not even good as a "plain" latte), and quite tasteless - you really can't taste the carmel flavor. I'm actually going to throw out the ones I didn't use because the flavor is so unappealing.
