Disappointed After 2 Tries

My friend had a smaller one by the same manufacturer and he told me he never had a problem with his. In fact we used it at a recent party with friends. When I found out that BB&B had a similar item with a larger capacity and it was on clearance, I thought I was going to get a real bargain. This item was sold out on the website, so I went to a local store who was able to order one for me. The first one arrived with a major dent and scratch on the surface of the warming tray. I returned it to the local store and they ordered another one for me. The second one arrived yesterday. It also had a dent but on the frame where the food containerssit on. This would have been acceptable if it wasn't for the fact that the heat control on the warming tray was uncontrollable. I initially plugged the tray in and it lighted up as being on and I was unable to turn it off. After playing with the knob a bit, it eventually turned off. I tried other positions, let it heat up and then turned the knob to off. It didn't turn off even though the light was off. After trying several scenarios, the final outcome was that the heating control was defective and I had no other choice but to return the second one back to the store. I didn't want to chance a third disappointment, so I opted for a refund. Too bad. I was really looking forward to using it for an upcoming birthday party.

What a great product at a fantastic price. Each of the 3 covered bowls are actually inserts that sit on top of a warming tray. So you can use up to the 3 bowls or easily lift the top frame off and the unit turns into a large warning tray. The adjustable temperature control is also very nice, however the heater gets hotter than I would have thought (not a bad thing). And everything cleans up very easily. No complaints. I would highly recommend to anyone.

I do a party for the family , more like a carnival, in the summer. This item will be a welcome addition. Great for warm salads, vegetable, hotdogs, etc. Highly recommend this for any ocassion.

I received this as a gift and I have no complaints with it so far! We used it for a family luncheon we had and it worked out great. The dishes look kind of small, but they held a surprisingly large amount of food and kept everything at the perfect temperature! Had no problems getting it clean... I only suggest that you immediately hand dry to avoid water stains. And it isn't that big so it didn't take up a lot of counter space & it isn't difficult to store.
