What's not to love?

We got this as a wedding gift and it works great! It cooks evenly and I like that you can adjust the heat. The beeping to tell you they're done isn't annoying or incessant. Clean up? What clean up? No waffle batter has ever spilled out or spattered so I just wait for it to cool and wipe it down.
If you want a regular waffle maker though, you may want to look at something else. This is of the Belgian variety (which we prefer) so they are very thick. The Bisquick waffle recipe that says it makes 12 normal waffle makes about 5 in this guy.

Great waffle iron

We received this iron as a wedding gift recently. I have always had cheapo waffle irons in the past, so I didn't really get the big deal with having a fancy-schmancy one. Now I get it! This waffle iron is GREAT! It has different settings depending on how done you want your waffles, and it beeps when they are done (good for me, because I have a tendency to forget about things while I am working on something else and they burn).
We had a big Mother's Day breakfast with both mothers and grandparents recently and this made waffles for all -- every single waffle turned out PERFECTLY!
I would definitely recommend this to others!

Poor results

I agree with one other reviews that this waffle maker is very inconsistent. There are major differences between how the tops and bottoms of the waffles bake. In addition, the edges are darker than the middle. Also, there is nowhere to catch drips other than the batter dripping over the sides onto the countertop. I will not buy another Cuisinart Product again as I have had major difficulties with the company in the past year.

I had a 2-slice Cuisinart Belgian Waffle maker that died (after at least 16 years), so I thought I'd get another Cuisinart, since I really liked my old one. I could only find the 4-slice, so I got it. I have to say that I was disappointed. My old one worked so much better; cooked more evenly and crisply; easier to open and clean. I found that these waffles were very inconsistent in cooking (and not top to bottom, but middle to edge) and I tried several settings. I agree with reviews about opening the lid (not easy and it is very hot). I am going to return it and try another brand.

I was given this as a gift from my family this Christmas-2011, which I have wanted for several years now. I will have to say this product is well made, heats up fast, and is so easy to use. The product video is helpful as well. I made cornbread/meal waffles(excellent) and was able to cook one with the unit unplugged because it was still hot enough to cook the extra one. Clean up is a breeze. It takes no time to make the waffles; we made the traditional Belgian waffles from the product book--which I have to admit I enjoyed making it more than the taste of it. I tried the pecan--lightly toast the pecans before puttin' them into the batter. I guess it just comes down to your personal taste, so I will just have to stay on the hunt for a good waffle batter recipe. But as far as this product my hunt is over it earned everyone of the stars I gave it. You really won't be disappointed

Great Waffle Maker

I purchased for this product because I have been very pleased with the Cuisinart line of products. Specifically, Cuisinart products feature a ready signal and light and variable temperature control settings. I made perfect waffles using a commercial mix. I used the heat setting at 3.5 as many reviews suggested this as a starting point. Since the batter is poured on the bottom of the waffle maker, this side of the waffle will be more slightly more done than the top. This is not a product design flaw, just a result of one side being exposed to the heat for a longer time than the other.
Disregard the bad reviews, follow the instructions, and enjoy!

This waffle maker is perfect for us. It's easy to use, easy to clean, quick, and makes a lot at once. If we have extras, I freeze them for another day.

I received this as a gift for my wedding. We love this waffle maker. It has different heat settings and we've found the setting that gives us the crisp, brown waffles we're wanting. Easy to clean, has a notification when the heat is right and the batch is completed. Will definitely recommend.

We purchased this waffle maker after our other one conked out. I remember the first one having issues with waffles sticking the first few times as well as having them become mushy after they sat for a bit. This iron is the exact opposite. Tthe waffles were deep and crispy and deliciious first time of the grill!

We bought this waffle maker and have been so happy with the waffles it makes. Had checked out many other brands and this is the best for the money. First time we used it, had it on the darkest setting...and it was too dark and hard. Now have it set at about 3 1/2 and it makes perfect waffles everytime..Love it!!

I purchased a Cuisinart coffee maker at what I thought was a good price. It was poorly designed and made poor coffee, and the carafe had pouring issues. Still, when i needed a new waffle maker (my old one was over 15 years old) I purchased the Cuisinart waffle maker - I got the same result as with my coffee maker. This is a poorly designed unit. The waffle maker fails 50% of the time to properly cook the waffles and I have to start over or make something else for breakfast. The "done" alarm has nothing to do with correct cooking time - not even close. The cord is too short. It is way too easy to burn yourself with this appliance. When the waffles are "done" is very tricky and unsafe to open. It's a pain to clean. I have replaced my coffee maker with another (which I love) and will replace this as well with another brand. I will not ever purchase another Cuisinart appliance. Cuisinart has great marketing but their appliances do not live up to the expectations they themselves create. (in my opinion, the same is true of their cookware). I expect more for my money. I enjoy cooking and want to spend time cooking instead of finding workarounds or doing more work because of an appliance's shortcomings.

I agree with one other review that this waffle maker is very inconsistent. There are major differences between how the tops and bottoms of the waffles bake. Also, they are not crisp. I've read many reviews about this waffle maker. People either love it or hate it. I'm guessing the quality control of this maker is not good...if you're lucky u get a good one; otherwise, u get a 'lemon'. I'm returning this one and trying a different brand!

I purchased this waffle maker for my husband Christmas of 2009 because he loves Belgian waffles on the weekends. We have been using it regularly with no problems what-so-ever. We've had it now for nearly one year, so without a doubt, we got our money's worth. Makes perfectly yummy waffles every time !!!

I never take the time to write reviews but had to on this one. We are returning this waffle maker because it cooks unevenly. In fact the indents or holes of the waffle were burnt and the rest of the waffle (the face) was not even browned! To make sure it wasn't our batter we tried one in our old beater waffle maker and it was perfect. Also...the Cuisinart takes a long time to cook in comparison to our old one. Can't recommend!
