The 6 month age is pretty much spot on. The babies love their personalized pal. (We bought two.) To be honest, I'm not sure if it's the flashing collar on the dog or the fact that it says their name that gets their attention. But yes, they love it. I'm looking forward to updating the info as they grow older. If I had to find fault, there is a pause just before it says their name and other personalized info. Also, the name comes at the end of a sentence and has a lilt to it so it sounds a little like a question. But, yes, if you're on the fence about buying this, go ahead. It's worth the money.
