The last few vacuum's I purchased clogged up with pet hair every few times I used them. The Miele has not clogged up one time. It does a great job picking up my dog's hair both on carpet and tile. I love that the head swivels which makes it easy to get under and around furniture.

Love this thing

We have gone through several vacuum cleaners in our 52 plus years together, fixing,unclogging,changeing belts,replaceing beaters and what have you. This time I did my research well in advance. We decided on the Miele S7210. Some of the reviews said it was to heavy,it's not. I compared it with the Hoover wind tunnel we have andthe hoover was heavier. The Miele has everything a person could need to do what a vacuum is designed to do. I like that it uses a bag instead of that can that had to be cleaned every time it was emptied. That feature of twisting the handle to direct the vac around legs and corners works like a charm. As far as pushing it around, I am 74 years old and have no problem,even my wife was impressed. WORTH every penny I paid for it.

This is a good quality vacuum, but so heavy that I returned it immediately after purchasing. I vacuumed one room and was exhausted. The thought of carrying it up the stairs was too much to consider. I decided to pay to repair my old Electrolux instead.

This is my second Miele I have a 20 year old canister
That is still going strong. I wanted a upright for upstairs which is all carpet, downstairs is wood, this vacuum works great on both floors. I tried a bag less upright and didn't like the dust and dirt that went everywhere when I empty the container. Plus all the dirt it left behind I used the Miele in the same area and it picked up more dirt. We have two dachshunds that are constant diggers and bring in dirt daily which has never been a problem for either Miele. Miele does cost more but in the long run they are worth every penny.

If you're looking for a bagged upright and a have a few bucks to spend there is simply nothing better than the Miele. Weight is non issues because of the ease of the swivel handle and nearly self propelled action when the brush bar is activated. Also the lift handle is positioned to perfectly displace the weight even when carrying with one hand. Noise level is probably the quietest of any manufacturer on the market. Wand is a breeze to use and very easy to extend, you don't even have to add any attachements to extend the length. Vaccuming under chairs or couches is a nice due to the lay flat design. Suction and cleaning power makes you question why bother with a Dyson. Sure there are some cheaper and lighter options and if bagless is your thing then look elsewhere but I for one wouldn't recommend any other upright than the Miele Twist.

I had a dyson animal van for a couple years and really liked it as I have 2 large dogs that shed a lot. I vacuum at least 1x a day. I cleaned and maintained the dyson but it just didn't work the way it was when it was new. I didn't want to switch to something that had bags because of the cost and this Meile has a filter that needs to be changed too. I read such good reviews and was a little disappointed that the dyson didn't last longer so before I just got another one, i bought this. I didn't think it would take up the sand and dog hair that well as its not their animal vacuum, but it DID!!! It was so easy to push around and picked up everything without the loud noise the dyson made. I hated emptying the dyson because it was so hard to get everything to come out unless you took it all apart and then dust went everywhere. For the first time in using higher end vacuums, I could actually use the attachment to clean my blinds from the dirt caked on them. It was so efficient I could really care less about replacing bags. I love the filter and my house just doesn't have the same smell, it has no smell!! I don't use chemicals and so if something isn't clean, you know. I talked to the company and you can put the hepa filter in this machine making that and the light the only difference between this one and the next model up-a $120 price difference. I am more than happy I tried this vacuum-KEEPER!!

I own this vaccum and I just had to right a review because I want everyone to know how great this vacuum really is! I have 2 large inside dogs so I have to run the vacuum every day! This vaccum gets ALL the pet hair off my furniture with no effort at all, it leaves my rugs looking brand new (I have hardwood floors) I love the 2 settings Floor/Carpet right on the top of the handle and you can really tell when the carpet button is on because that 2nd motor kicks in and makes vaccuming a breeze! I use this for dusting off my furniture everything! It is absolutely the BEST BEST BEST vaccum I have ever owned! I love the bags too, they're really thick and there is a button on the front of the vaccum that tells you when the bag is full! I'm telling you this beats ANY Dyson, Dirt Devil, Kirby etc. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS VACCUM!!!!

I've owned this vacuum for about 6 months and I love it. It is a little on thee heavy side, but it does such a wonderful job! It really does make your carpet look like new. It's quiet and easy to use. Money well spent!

This is my first Miele. It is a little larger than some uprights but no heavier and maneuvers like a German luxury car. It has the usual features but no fooling with carpet/bare floor height adjustments as it adjusts on it's own. It also "swivels" which makes for easy turning. It's probably the quietest upright I've ever used and doesn't have the high pitched whine that my previous Dyson had. Finally, it does a superb job and leaves the carpet looking like new.
